alrite where shall i start.

congrats ranga. i am not surprised you won. you certainly deserve to go up.

if i can think short term where i lost the series it is obviously me not being able to set the lineup vs skyhook and taking the enthusiasm hit right before the game. I can't speak for Ranga but i am assuming that it was probably 12 vs 8 in that SF.
Also tying up into that, the little bit of GS issues that caused for some of my players, which in truth probably hurt more than i thought it would.

alfama (proficient) vs Zakharov (strong)
Davila (proficient) vs Notis (strong)
Whittington (proficient) vs Addison (respectable)
Wall/Ceballos (both proficient) vs Cornelius (respectable)
Clancy (proficient) vs Terroso (strong)

and you look at the game and Addison and Cornelius were flogged with their resp vs prof GS.

but if i am gonna be honest i probably shot myself in the foot in season 16 when i spent alot of money on trying to challenge the top teams when it wasnt really worth it.

but i guess thats just the kind of manager i am. thus i wont be taking the back seat again next season. i will do what PP did and run my team into the ground to try win.

good luck in div 2 ranga. i hope you dont go into full tank as many others have done in the past. we have a reputation to keep up down here.

Wow Bains, almost a ball until the last 2 lines. Commiserations on the loss but hey, I would take a holiday over a BB game any day of the week.

As far as appologies I don't owe any, I have put forth my opinion as did Skyhooks.

Not only does training finish Fridays but have a look at your schedule, first competitive game for the season starts on a Saturday, therefore we play 2 competitive games followed by a scrimmage each week rather than scrimmage in the middle.

Again, it is my opinion and until someone can tell me a better reason then that is when the money changes hands I will continue to think my way :)

bad luck bains.. ranga deserves it, but he is certainly spending a tonne of coin to do it! i think regardless if you were around or not ranga would have taken it.. his purchases and his planning for this was just top notch, not saying urs werent, but i think ranga did everything right.

oh and dont give up on your point of view.

why would you pay salaries for a game you have already played and one they havent played. seems more sensible to me that you you either pay them for a whole week of games they have played or as early payment for games you havent played. but this is coming from someone who thinks SB is still important

a bit different when you didnt try to win. and have been spending about 70-80k less all season, setting you up for next season.

but who knows... we might regather ourselves and try promote with you next season

As for the finance thing, yes it's monday to monday it's been confirmed to me several times now.

Sure I bought players to promote to promote (fingers crossed) but I had the money to spend, so why not? and i think i've proven time and time again that i GENERALLY get bargains that get the job done.
I thought that was how teams got better in this game? having more expensive players normally makes you harder to beat.

anyways Bains, if I were you I would sell Notis and try to profit and start making more coin... you should be fine for top4 with the rest of that team.

wasn't making excuses. just some observations of the game.

as for my team for next season. there is only 1 player i know of that will definitely be gone. i will have to wait until i see how the league shapes up next season and what kind of salaries i will be paying players before other changes are made.

another season in Garrie's legs should do him no harm

i would just like to congratulate Tilley Thunder & Tamworth Cowboys who on their debut division 3 season have won through in their relegation series against much more experienced teams.
