It's all about the sheer number of users. With a country so small in users, it's extremely hard to compete on the world stage. Teams like the US will only start out with like 10 or 12 players on their NT and wait during the year to see who develops or what is needed for specific skills. We don't have that luxury because there only a certain number of Kiwis who have any shot at making the NT. I know that going into the season, and I know there won't be any surprises during it.

It makes scouting Kiwi players very simple every year, but I wish it were harder if we had more users and more players to choose from

We may be a lot smaller than most countries on here and not have a chance against the likes of China, USA, France and the other massive countries but we will do a lot better if we all work towards a common goal rather than all just doing what ever.

I'm keen to work towards a common goal and I have been along with Lefthook and Royobannon. We are hoping to have a trio of strong guards for the U21's in 2 season, with slightly different builds and strengths in attack and all having solid defence. It may not happen overnight, and it takes a bit of work but I feel this will pay off for us in a couple of seasons :D

Just a bit of condonation and some smart thinking and we will be able to punch well above our weight. Not saying we will win the world cup but I think we can still do better :)
