Managers of the game we wanted to create Utopia for money, now the prices of players have become absurd.

The micro-nations are not to blame.

To change things simply to interdict the transfer market teams Utopian only the draft and training.

And it is not the players to adapt, it is the game to adapt to the players.

Soon more players to fit you are alone.

I encourage people to offer their feedback on a potential change to micro-nations, regardless of whether they're for or against it. This thread wouldn't exist if we didn't want feedback. What's not okay is people rudely dismissing the idea because they're opposed to it and then attempting to deflect the conversation in other directions.

If exactely this would be standing at the beginning of this thread, maybe there will be a more informed and enlightening debate.

But it has to be clear, that for a manager who is happy in BB playing in a Middle Europe Nation with about 50 Users and NT ranking 30 - 50 it will be very disappointed and also in a bad mood by confontated with playing in LITTLE EUROPE with Albania, Cyprus and Malta. This seems like a bad joke.

The huge majority of the users don´t write (or even look) in Global forums because of Language, time, interest and so on ... therefore in such discussions you will have a majority of users who are very active, sometimes feeling important to be a part of the development process, an at least interested in changings.

There are 14 Nations with max. 5 and 31 with max. 10 users. Most of them probably won´t be happy by loosing his country. You can cut some nations and let the the users decide where they want to play. (btw: I still don´t know why beginners should not decide where to play ... maybe the problem would be solved by itself ;-)

For me as a German-speaking guy playing in Middle Europe I first would like to merge with DACH- Nations, second with Europe and third with the hole world.

The problem with merging continental could be, that for example South-America will be a Micro Nation compared with Europe .... therfore I would prefer a new BBB (like in Football - Champions League, Euro-League, the European Champion plays against the Champions of North America, South America, Asia a.s.o.) so there will be more competition for more users. Not for everybody, thats right, but for more than just the national winners. And I really don´t think, that there will be more competion in, for example, the VII. Divison in Europe (if there will be a merge)

"more users" .... simply because more users will will have more competition.

I haven´t wrote about the Top Ten of each country .... in football, for example, the number of teams they are allowed to play in an int. competition depends on how big and competitive the Country is.

BB-Ryan wanted to hear options. I don´t think that merging is the best solution and I just tried to show some other options to refresh the game .... and I´m sure there will be many other options ;-)

Maybe not a higher level of competition in the lowest division, but for teams that come from anything below the top division of micro nations it will be a big difference. The change can not come soon enough for me personally. I consider quitting my team, travel to another country and start a new team there, just to avoid the endlessly boring lineup of bot teams. Have a look at my schedule: http://www.buzzerbeater.com/team/41460/schedule.aspx

I have had 4 real matches this season in the league.
3/8/2016 7:05:00 PM 1 Sørumsand Punx 98 - 95 (Replay) 2 Norske Dream
3/15/2016 7:05:00 PM 1 Sørumsand Punx 73 - 101 (Replay) 3 Exeter Exiles
3/29/2016 7:05:00 PM 1 Sørumsand Punx 70 - 96 (Replay) 1 LOB CITY
4/12/2016 7:05:00 PM 2 Jaga BKS 127 - 112 (Replay) 1 Sørumsand Punx
My next and last one will be:
5/3/2016 7:05:00 PM 2 Norske Dream Set Lineup 1 Sørumsand Punx

One every two weeks on average.

In the tournament I played bots until the last two rounds. I managed to win one with crunchtime at max enthusiasm.
3/17/2016 7:05:00 PM 40 Sørumsand Punx 73 - 72 (Replay) 30 Sandnes Saab C
And the next one shows the gap between div I and II in norway:
3/24/2016 7:05:00 PM 40 Sørumsand Punx 40 - 125 (Replay) 6 Singularity C

5 matches against real teams in league for the whole season. And I get smashed in every one of them, except in this one match, this one time. Still am at the top of my conference by beating bots. For what? For nothing. I have no chance in the playoffs. The only thing I get out of it is a worse spot in the draft. Very funny. I really enjoy my micro nation existence. *sarcasm*

The only fun I get out of it at the moment is scrimmages, where I meet random teams that field their training squad. So that is not even remotely realistic matches.

Almost the same here. I hover around the top like a boss. No way I promote, no way I can do worse, because I have to pay the salary floor, which already makes me one of the big dogs in the league... xD

I honestly would love to demote to a DIV III, be mediocre there, but have some real games every week. Checking the results is meaningless for me.

There will be bots as well in the VII. Division of "whatever"

But ... what about the possibility to choose the country for which a beginner wants to play ... then everybody will be responsible for his own happiness in the game ;-)

Another idea could be a variable League System depending on the users per country (instead of 4 just 1 or 2 II. Leagues)

There has to be a challenge somewhere that your supposed to overcome in order to become the number one team.

That is an on often-repeated thought around here. Too bad the BB challenge is not focused on beating your opponent, like it is in every other sports sim (and RL), and instead focuses on winding your way through a bizarre and illogical Alice-in-Wonderland maze. You know I'm talking mainly about training, but this thread provides a lot of similar examples.

Dude, if you haven't noticed, this entire thread is a discussion of the system and proposed changes. Chill!
