At every position, your opponent was projected to have more points per 100 shots than your team. If you lose at all five positions, the odds are good that you will lose the game and not very close.

You don't have the team skills to play that defense effectively yet also I doubt the player exp. Its best to make it a offensive war ,rather try to contain the foe with defense,if your not certian in what measure to take ,play the offensive card .If you have some good shooters. Let them go off play paitent or push the ball and 3-2 zone/ man-man. 3--2 zone is a good starter defense and easier to master than man to man. Because you don't need all the match up skills.

Never gamble on the defensive side unless you know ,you attain a defensive edge somehow. Its not a big sin to give up 100pts and you score 101 :).. Always use the free throw line to your advantage. If your sure its a lost game, then let your shooter's go down shooting. Don't try the defensive way ,you'll lose because you lack it.

There some things you can do to keep a game close versus a better team.

I can understand that Man to Man is the safest and most reliable defense, but to say that it is very important to use all the time, is not correct in my opinion. There are many situations where 2-3 or 3-2 can also be effective and possible box defenses as well in certain cases, but I do not have much experience with those. I think the only defenses I would say to almost always avoid (or 95%+ of the time) is FCP and 1-3-1. You are entitled to your opinion though.

Thank you.
FCP is the worst though.
It tires out your guys offensively.

FCP - (49563617) (don't look at the result or the fact that I CT'd him..., look at the last quarter)

Also if you know that your opponent is going to play an outside 3pt based offence, 1-3-1 is actually probably the best offence to play.

M2M is safe, but ive been playing 3-2 zone almost all season with quite a bit of success.

so it depends. If you are going to have an 'out of the box' stock standard lineup with your standard C, PF and SF and not have any variance with their defensive stats, then yer, play M2M.

But if you have a flexible team or a very inside defensive minded SF, or shot blocking, or a high stamina team, then the other defensive options are available to you.

Not anymore man to man is not best defense anymore 3-2 zone is.. You can build around 3-2 zone also cheaper cost more effective.

Man to man needs a even defensive team to be effective, 3-2 zone does not. In which I think is overall better to use than m2m and have a liability on the floor or a unnessary double team moments.. If someone could find out how to work 2-3 zone or make a 2-3 man to man hybrid.. Which I think si more easier to do now than before, that would be a blessing.

I would go to that because it helps fast breaks which would fuel run/gun or push the ball offensive formations./ which I know how to perform. Im just waiting on the info on 2/3 zone or 2/3 man to man hybrid.

But in small a new manager should play 3-2 zone. Man to man is good and all but you will be more exploited, 3/2 zone is harder to exploited given the good upgraded changed.
