The amount I spend on scouting depends on where I think I will place in the standings. The better I think I'm going to do, the less I spend on scouting. This is because if I do pretty well, I'm going to have a lower pick, and probably won't get the guy I spent 3 scouting points on.

A lot of people don't spend a lot on scouting because it is kind of a crapshoot. Sometimes, you get a really good prospect, other times you spend $10,000 a week to get nobody even worth training.

Join the USA off-site forum as per the thread I posted. There is always useful discussions there about economy, training, draft strategy, and a ton more. Post a team diary and the other great managers there will provide advice to give you that "outside-looking-in" perspective.

Big 8 is about to lose alot of players! Shame, i thought it was funny when it was happening to the Great 8 but this is annoying.

1.Thunder Lance(Last On 3/11) Perhaps hes just given up,which is tough because i had him winning the league the past 2 seasons.What he should have done is slow done his pace and gone with a Princeton or Patient OFF.He has the best PF in the league and a shame he'll just vanish(Freddy Colvin)

2.Price Maulers(Last on 3/19) I dont know what to say about the maulers they've never competed with the top 4 in the big 8

3.Blow Blunts(Last on 3/22)Never knew ya!

I'm still holding out hope that PM and Blow Blunts will log in before going bot; I'm fairly certain Thunder Lance is a dead man walking. Oh well, at least you get to beat up on some bots.
