Different positions calculate the salary differently. Due to the change of position, the player's salary has been differently calculated and reduced (in this case).

That's no bug. His salary is slightly lowered for the rest of the season but will raise to normal levels next season.
WTH. Salary should not change during the season, no matter the reason. Position should change only if salary exceeds the last position salary. I'm pretty confused now.

I have had numerous position changes (this is my third attempt at a BB team) and this is the first and only time it has changed the salary of the player mid season. I would be quite surprised to hear that this is not a bug. I am not upset with the $700/wk savings, though. An upgrade to first class team flights are in order!

I will investigate further, this is obviously not as simple as I thought.

After checking all code that affects players salaries I've found that there's absolutely no way a player changed his salary mid season. No player can change salary mid season, even if he changes position, there's just no mechanism for that. Therefore, maybe there's a mistake in your records?

maybe you can look at his economic update and compare the salarys there8changes in team salary should be explainable), or he had to do it.

It is most likely an issue with my records now that I look closer. He was certainly a 5.8k SG in season 19, but may have become a 5.1k SG at new seasons beginning and then switched to PF shortly thereafter, causing my confusion. The writeup done by a leaguemate at the beginning of season 20 claimed he was a 5.8k SG as well, but maybe he wrote it up before the update.

No need to look into this further, at any rate.

You really are a chuckler aren't you? The most simple solution to all of this is at the start of every season I print out a hard copy of my team and I have them in a folder going back to season 10. My memory can often be incorrect but when I go back and check the hard copies of the printouts they never lie. It also means I have a printout of the stats of every player I have ever drafted which is interesting.

i would select "salary"(or something similiar) on your economic page(the drop down right in the top) and copy it to this site, normally we can see where chanches comes from when looking at the transfer history. And when you have then a 700$ difference, marin hatd to look deeper to find the bug.
