With his OD still on respectable, even if you train him to proficient js and respectable rebound I wouldn't expect him to sell for more than 400k. Reason being that in 10 weeks time he will almost be 20 years old with starter potential. And his only real good skill will be JS.

hmmm good reasoning...

Tho i'd think he would worth more if I sell him near the play off where the market is inflated.
Is there anyone out there look for good inside defense, good inside scoring and jumpshot from an SF? When buying players for play off, do you look for young players with potential or player with certain skill? or both?

how much would i get if i get him to certain skills: proficient id, proficient i.s, prof j.s. i'd reckon 700 - 900k... what do you think? put ur thoughts down ppl!

Perhaps, but if you look at the transfer list, you will notice that you could buy a 27 year old for 700k that has far better skills. When people buy before playoffs they aren't looking for a young player that can be trained, they are looking for an older veteran that is cheaper and has more skills to help win the playoffs.
I think that if you got OD up to prolific, and js up to prominent, and inside defence up to proficient, and rebounding up to respectable before he turns 20 then you could sell him for 1 million or more.

editing my post again...

sorry I didn't read ur post properly.... anyways that's a very good idea man. The OD seems to be very important for people and I guess that's the selling point for most SFs and guards. prolific OD would be extremely hard for me to obtain in the next 10 weeks as I have a different training plan. Most of my training next season would be jump shot, rebound and driving and inside defense.

Seem like its impossible to market this guy as a balanced SF. Do you think i should put him on the market now or keep training him as a PF?

I'd wait til tomorrow and see what draftees you get. If you get a good draftee then sell this guy and keep the draftee to train instead. If you are unlucky and don't get any good draftees then keep this guy or buy someone from the TL.
