I'd actually like to see more opinions on this from the micro-nation managers.

So it seems like a fact that you are willing to do any kind of merge.

I still got no answer to my question (from an official) ...

What is your goal, why is this necessary, which problems do you want to fix with new groupings ... ?
... please give me one good reason ... and maybe a view more ;-)

Hm, if I had to guess I'd say your post is cynic. I don't think answering to your question would help.

8. The drafts could continue as they do now, making it easy for Marin to put better players in the draft and have it apply to everyone evenly.

If they do this then it will basically kill their national teams. Say there is a league made of 4 Scots, 6 Welsh and 6 Irish. The Scots all do well and finish in the top 4 then they will have the last 4 picks in the draft. So the the Welsh and Irish get the best picks while Scotland get the leftovers. If this happens for a couple seasons then the Scottish national team could will be effectively dead.

Corrected the missed quote.

wasnt utopia created for those who wanted more competion and so on. And why bring this post just right after everybody has paid for a new round of utopia.
Anyway Im against ending the micro nations, and for me it would be the end of my 26 season buzzerbeater career no doubt. I would rather see some more effort to promote the game instead.

You have a much higher opinion of the draft than I do. Do you really think that success in B3 depends on a low finish in the regular league in order to get an early draft pick? That isn't how it works now.

You are still thinking in terms of merged nations. That is not the nature of the proposal(s) I have seen that meet the standards I described.

Good point. That's why we have to consider having joint national teams (but with their original flags presented).

NTs in their current form, i think, not only for the reasons you mention, will probably suffer.

With joint league NTs:
In your example it would be NTs with Welsh, Irish and Scottish players. The possibility of getting late picks if there are only 4 players from Scotland, and all of them finish on top is present, but that does not necessarily mean that you don't get to have players on the NT. 6 Welsh and 6 Irish managers training 2 players each would still only be 12 players, some young for the U21, and som older for the NTs. If the 4 Scottish teams finish on top of the league every season you might start to see less Scottish players on the NTs. But I think you are blowing things up, and maybe underestimating your opponents.

I had another stance on this subject, but I see the implications. For the communities sake, I would like to see the original flags in league, and a new flag displayed only on the U21/NT page and when looking at the national team roster (going to the original player page would display original country flag, but mention that they are playing in the groups NT).

I'd love to do something like that, but as you can see, several of the micro-nations are already putting up a lot of resistance to any potential change. Can you imagine the backlash if this was done on a larger scale?

It doesn't seem to matter to a significant portion of people that a change would improve the game. They're happy with the little niche they've carved out.

After reading most of the posts...I think a lot of people are in favor and also a lot of people are against a merge. In the end it will be BB's decision....you cannot satisfy everybody, but always keep in mind that every step you take, will bring enormous changes to the game.

Until now I have a lot of question marks how you will handle the merge.....
1) will you take away money from the teams....
2) will they have to sell their best players if they are going down from DI to DIII...
3) will you make a complete restart????
....

I think it would be a good idea of letting people know the scenario more in detail.....just asking are you for or against something with no details is too easy....nobody really knows exactly what he or she is against or in favor...

Seems like I hit a nerve there ...

:D

Well isn't the point of merging as you say is to improve BB ?

I'm just saying that there are other ways you can achieve that.

Also, many of the same managers are here saying repeatedly that they would like a merge. Seems hypocritical that you are fine with them saying the same thing, because of course they share your opinion, but get mad when I do so.

We're all just trying to be heard and it seems like people are just ignoring the against comments, and then going on discussing the ideas of those who are in favor !

I am in favor of merging. Not just micros, but all nations. My full proposal is here (278372.1). If not deemed the best idea, hopefully it either opens others up to the idea of merging, or it inspires someone to come up with a better idea for merging all nations.

I have 1757 players for sale and I'm $25,835,360 in debt. Buy them at outrageous prices, or be selfish and make me go bankrupt. You decide, BB.
