I doesn't affect your ratings if you play TIE, normal or CT, bur as soon as your enthusiasm ist higher, your ratings will get better (and of course the other way round).

I can also remember such discussions. As far as I know there hasn't been an official statement in these discussions.

I am almost 100% sure that it works the way, I described it in my last post. Nevertheless I can't confirm, that it really works that way. But everyone I talked with about this topic made the same experience as I did.

Explain me then...
As I said the game shape of my players was about the same, enthusiasm should have the same impact @ OD as it has @ ID. And if enthusiasm was a factor then my OD rating should have been way higher at the end of last season, since my enthusiasm was a lot higher back then. But it bumped from inept to average, while the enthusiasm and the players game shape is lower.

I can't believe I can have a better OD rating with 2 proficient OD guards and strong OD, strong ID SF vs 2 prolific minimum C/PFs. In the last engine this has never been the case.

Huh where did I say that? I was comparing my OD ratings with ID ratings, that's why I brought in the Cs.
Don't you think the difference of the OD rating is huge compared to last season in those examples I have posted? Ok the decreased ratings ID compared to last season is easily explained by the drop of enthusiasm and gameshape.

But you can't really explain a raise of the OD ratings with about 1,5-2 levels due to a drop of gameshape and enthusiasm can you?

Ok, I agree with that, there has always been something strange at the OD ratings. Remember the possible ever going, never really found, so never proved, 3-2 zone bug.
