I understand you being devils advocate, I understand that Canada did not win a single game last season, but results are not the way to base success at the international U21 level in BB, just as beanerz said. The progress she has made with player tracking and scouting is unprecedented. I wish everyone could see the spreadsheets she is working with. It is some outstanding stuff.
Even if you want to look purely at results. Season 24 was U21 Canadas best season ever. Our first time in the U21 Americas Finals since Season 12. Season 12s team had HCA and some of the best U21 players Canada has ever seen. Seasons 12 team included, Christopher Moran, Momar Maja, Bryan Lacroix, Sylvain Milot(all went on to be NT studs), and put up better ratings than the Season 24 team ever did. In season 12. Christopher Moran is also arguably the greatest U21 player Canada has ever had(Glenn Richards the other candidate). So if you want to look at results, Kumiko had the most successful season ever. That is as good as we could have asked. Also, not a single person could have done anything different last season. If you or Sparky, or the current B3 champions had those players, You wouldn't have done any better. Its like taking a Division III salary roster and trying to compete with Naismith teams, it doesn't matter who is managing, You're going to lose.
Im sure if Sparkys interest and dedication to this game(which has not once been questioned) continues, than we will see him vying for these positions, but thats in the future, possibly the longterm.
Also, if he were to win this position, he would almost NEED access to the offsite forum. How would he be able to get game planning threads and roster discussion threads going? We can't do that onsite, thus the reason for the offsite.
Im just trying to avoid a possible disaster like Season 24 almost was Napoleon Bonaparte actually got 13 votes. Kumiko is the only capable candidate at all levels for this job right now.
