NT Round 2 Game 1 - Singapore vs Indonesia

Singapore played host nation, Indonesia, in their first game of round 2 and was sucumb to a 101-121 defeat to the dismay of the travelling fans. Abdul Samad bin Ishak made his first start as one of the starters for NT and does very well with 38 points and 10 assists. Fang Shuangxiang meanwhile was limited to only 2 points and 4 rebounds after playing for 24 minutes.

Indonesia was led by Mathias Budiarso with 35 points and supported by Yahya Astaman and Zainal Mere with 18 and 17 rebounds respectively. At the end of the 4th quarter, the home fans at Honey_Comb Theatre was cheering wildly to the team's first win in round 2.

"Knowing that this game is crucial for any hopes of finishing in 3rd place for the second round, the players are all very disappointed," Eric said, "But I want them to know that I am very proud to be their manager as I know they have always put in their best effort for all the NT games! The travelling fans were also fantastic in their support for the team!"

Tough loss, but this is expected as they are the Tournament Host, so they are playing like possessed. Seems like BB still doesn't love Fang Shuang Xiang... foul troubles nightmare..

My U21 team seem will follow NT tonight result too, as we are against the huge Hungarian team... :{

Yeah, sadly FSX seems to be either hit by minor injuries or foul troubles..

NT Round 2 Game 3 - Singapore vs Hong Kong

Singapore took it easy against Hong Kong (which put in a normal team effort) and surprisingly managed to match them all the way till the 3rd quarter and still managed to take a slight 78-76 lead into the 4th quarter. W. Xiangjia and F. Shuangxiang supported by E. Chaikalis and H. Xiangsong got the Singapore supporters on their feet with their low post offensive strategy to match Hong Kong's pace.

However, Singapore's hope of creating an upset was dashed in the last quarter as Hong Kong kept their composure in the 4th quarter to make a significant 28-16 comeback to win the match 104-94.

"We tried our best but maybe we were a bit nervous in the last quarter", Eric said. "The boys deserve praise for what they have done in the first three quarters, I am proud of them!"

NT Round 2 Game 4 - Singapore vs India

India as expected put more into this game than Singapore but they were stunned in the first quarter as they were outplayed and trailed by a massive 20 points. Singapore kept their shape for the remaining three quarters and eventually won the match 110-99. W. Xiangjia and F. Shuangxiang were at their very best for Singapore with 34 and 30 points respectively.

As Eric was out of town, Shuangxiang deputised for Singapore's first and maybe only win in round 2. "It was a great first quarter and we just kept going after that. I messaged Eric after the match and he was delighted with our first win of the round."

Quite Stunning on why HK put more effort on us and we still managed a closed game. No worries, in one/two season, you will have more candidates to hire. Fantastic fours are going to graduate soon from U21...

Actually I also wanna candidate myself in, but I can see you are managing a very good team in your side.

The only setback are, this will be your first time managing such National Team and you will need to adapt. And also you will have to work with Bigben closely, as he is the one that deliverying NT players to you. And last one, I haven't seen you training any SGP players, so I assume you have very little knowledge about training. However, about this matter, maybe you can ask Bigben to help you as well.

Good luck bro...
