Yeah maybe next time remember div 3 teams are not as bad as bots, generally :)

In more annoying news, my guy Plasier 2 points short of the league record... Grrrr... 64 points still a wicked effort!

Yeah, saw that. He also had a very nice triple-double in the recent Cup game. Nice work, SchaBoom. I'm assuming he's still get trained?

Fair enough. I've just brought a PF whi is NOT a PF. He is a project of mine this season. I'd like to say more but mum's the word. lol If all goes to plan he will become a difficult player for opponents to matchup against.

Good luck with the trainee... I tried it once with a tall SG 6'8", good shooter and had no inside game - trained him in ID, Reb and IS for a couple of seasons. Worked out ok, but in Div.2 couldn't really afford to do it. Just found that a semi functional player in the wrong position was killing me. Would be good to give something similar a crack though.

Yeah, thanks kintoc. He's definately a project. He is a very nicely rounded PF who, with the training he'll receive this season, can become a very handy player next season. If I choose to tank again next season (yes, it is on the cards!) I will have another season to turn him into the monster I have in mind. If it pays off my push through to Div II will allow him to be as dangerous there...mostly. He poured on the points in my cup game tonight in a PG role. Yes, he was playing a crappy opponent but he will be able to hold his own in ANY position while I improve him...at least this season.

So, kintoc, are u going to have a crack this season or wait and see what happens?

I am having crack. Althought I don't necessarily want to go up to Div. 2 just yet, I still want another trophy :) All gonna come down to who has injuries etc. during finals. Vikings definitely favourites with their squad at the moment!!

I agree, injuries during finals will matter but I would hazard to guess it will be, yet again, the team with the most cash to spend before finals series. Good luck.

Well guys, how is everyone traveling? It would be good to hear briefly from everyone who reads this thread. Even if it's a single sentence saying hello and this is how I'm going. I'll start it off:

Hey guys. My tanking efforts are traveling according to plan. I've been able to win the 'must win' games while staying in the cup. However, my cup run will likely end this week as I don't want to waste money buying the players to secure another win. We'll see. I'm hunting for a 4th trainee at the moment to fill Hot Rod's psoition until his knee injury heals (1 more week). Other than that, I've won games I tried to win and lost those I had already conceded. All in all, I'm happy about everything except my ridiculously bad luck with injuries. Seriously, who loses their No.1 and No.2 trainees to consecutive injuries. Thankfully, they were both ONLY 2 week injuries. Could have been worse.

Hey Matty, been absent mainly as I am packing up my house, move interstate in a couple of weeks so I will be the actual GC vikings instead of just dreaming it!

Well what to say, my boys are travelling nicely, I think I got robbed with the cup game last week but what do you do.. Flames and I know where we stand now and seeing as my C won't sell I guess it will come down to whether he believes he can splurge enough to take our Vitanyi.

Hey all, I am actually a little disappointed. I expected to lose to the vikings, but lost 1 I shouldn't have. Good comment as well re. the cash and vitiyani, I am not sure I have enough money to take out the vikings with a purchase. Sure as hell saving though :)

Lost the cup tonight, even though I CT'd it. Oh well, looking forward to concentrating on player form management now for the rest of the season.

Gold coast sounds nice. Especially in a couple of months when it is cold in SA.
