I guess I think it’s fine. If this solves big problems and will make the game better in the end, do it!

However I do like to make one big remark about the division structure. Not specific about this feature, but more because of a underlying reason for this feature. You’d like to keep your managers..

For example country A has three levels. If a fourth has to be added please don’t do that according to the pyramid structure. Make it a bottle. It isn’t interesting to start a new (secondary) team in a bot league.

You can adjust the structure of each country, based on the info which is there now.

For example:
Currently 250 places filled, 125 can be added through new (secondary) teams
I 16 managers
II 64 managers
III 256 managers
IV 1024 managers , would mean 64 lonely managers…

Make the IV 256 managers, then this situation won’t happen that much.

Yes, I’m aware that the divisions aren’t filled with new teams in this way. However teams are relegated this way. And for those teams it isn’t fun to play in a bot league.

This might be quite complicated to implant in the game, but I think it will be worthwhile.

Also, tanking is not cheating, as I understand it. I've seen teams deliberately finish last almost every season. They relegate, then they rebuild and return. It's part of the game.
Tanking isn't cheating, yes. However, tanking, taking the good draftees then doing nothing with them can be considered detrimental to the game.

Let's remember that second teams will almost all be in countries with limited activity, so these are not dominant nations on the world stage with almost complete certainty. Italy will not be planting owners in USA to do nothing but waste HOF talent by hoarding them,
Where is your evidence of this? There is no poll or count to support this. I, for one, would probably put a team into the French league, purely because of my personal ties with that country. So, out of the current data, 100% of people would be going into larger leagues.

...other than trying to ruin game shape for NT-level players of other countries, it's not really anything but childish behavior.
You have an excellent perspective. Unfortunately, we live in a world where not everything thinks that this behaviour is childish and will do anything to get their little ego boost.

These secondary teams will not be in big nations.
Again, no evidence to support or deny this, apart from what I have stated above, which, at this point, sorely leans away from your favour.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see it happen. I just think that, because of the nature of the beast (i.e. us humans), it could create a plethora of rules and restrictions that could be quite boring and frustrating.

I agree junior leagues, women's teams may require a huge amount of work and time, but not so sure about Utopia. It would be just another country, certainly with slightly changed rules and restrictions, but still, would that be so hard to implement? But I don't know anything about programming in this game, I could possibly be wrong.
It appears I'm not the only who likes Utopia's idea. There are also a number of managers who would prefer their second teams to be able to compete in other nations. So another poll to find out the distribution of votes would be interesting.

Sometimes, competition is high level there, and it happens you might be blocked in the same div for centuries, sometimes for injuries/bad luck/tankers/wrong management by you and so on.

Exactly! Competition in big nations is high level and it's hard to promote to the top league. But isn't it the point of this game? You try, you fail, you try again, you don't give your goal up and then you promote. Of course, it's much easier to register your second team in a micronation and win a title there, but for me, then, game loses its point.

I sincerely prefer to re-name Players/Have Jersey/have a court Logo-design than reply my team history with a 2nd team.

Yeah, team jerseys could be something worth my money. But that's not the place to discuss it:)

Τhere is a lot of justified speculation about "destroyer teams" numbers rising with the added bonus of being established in countries of interest, because of the proposed secondary team.

One of the points made against this, is that the vast majority of the supporters will opt to participate in micronations.

But with the 50/50 ratio between native and foreigners, that narrows down the open spots for secondary teams, in small BB countries.

Do we have a rough estimate how many secondary teams would it take to fill up these available micronation spots?
If we had this number and the total of current supporters, we 'd be able to talk more realistically and accurately, on how much of an added threat "destroyer teams" could pose on large BB nations.

36 countries with less than 20 users with a total of 387 players (data from flag chasing page of (http://www.buzzer-manager.com/))

I think it's a great idea, but should be fully developed and not just introduced without having thoroughly explored how it could be exploited, and having preventive measures in place.

Great stuff, about time.

Me? Probably make a team in Australia!

Thanks man, that was quick! +1

So, if we suppose that the majority of supporters opting for an easier league, will choose to participate in one of these 36 countries, only about 400 of them will get a spot.

I believe this means that the vast majority* of supporters, will have to play in bigger BB countries, anyways.

*i have no idea how many supporters there are, but a modest 4% of the whole user population(30k currently) equals 1200 supporters.
