well you were the first whom I've seen using the acronym. I personally don't care about the removal of blank lineups, but the issue of minute distribution is a problem for many, be it for training or GS management.

Look, I don't think people have a problem because blanks are gone. Even those who don't know what blank line up was, will tell you minute allocation as it is isn't ideal as soon as they understand how GS works.

So yeah, I believe that several of those who voted for removing blanks + improving substitution patterns will still vote for improving substitution patterns. Plus many of those who lost a tool to manage their minutes more effectively will also vote the same option.

There was no addition by subtraction in removing blanks. There was only subtraction. Efficient subs management was only available with that option and now it's gone, unfortunately.

Ok if you have the time to start a new poll, I'd like to see what the sentiment is now.

Im not sure that a new poll will gain much.

Personally Im a little deflated that there hasnt been an announcement as yet that an App is on the way, despite it being shown in this thread both in the voting and general discussion that it was deemed to be the number one most important change required

Can we add "eliminate patient tactic with an outside player playing Center or Power Forward" (lack of realism) ?

An outside player playing PF or C should get totally smashed on the boards which should offset a little the mismatch they get from outside shots under a patient offense whilst being defended by a PF or C who in theory will have low OD.

I dont think a defensive switch can offset this rebounding mismatch.

Imo the minute management needs to be abandoned completely - best lineup should play every game - period.

It's not like you would see players switch between starting - being benched and not playing a third game at all in real world on a regular basis.

That would make the game much more easier and appeal to the casual gamers we try to attract and retain.

well, if you can't manage your minutes then then either you are weak manager or most likely your subs suck. Why do they suck is not mine, Perpete, Marin or community's problem and we are not those who care or have to solve it.
As always very professionally and elegantly put, GM-Nik0. You have just won yourself a new Pillory thread which I had decided to put on hold, so that your brilliance and politeness can shine brighter than ever.

Now, if you would be so kind, please check the GS for the following 3 teams and let's have a constructive discussion about who sucks more at GS management please:
http://www.buzzerbeater.com/team/91040/players.aspx
(91040) despite buying a scrub on mediocre GS just last night...
http://www.buzzerbeater.com/team/276019/players.aspx
(276019) despite buying a guy on inept GS just last night...
http://www.buzzerbeater.com/team/44959/players.aspx
(44959)

Are we really supposed to take seriously someone with 3 players on Average GS and 4 on Respectable GS going into the 4th week of the season? I would also be interested in knowing your thoughts on tanking managers patronizing and insisting in educating others on the forums, thank you.

Why is the whole drama?
The drama is because there are users on forums who either can't understand or can't express concepts in an intelligent, honest or civilised way in proper English, GM-Nik0.

Other than that, there is no drama. There is a ligitimate concern that this game had only one situation where the coach was doing substitutions efficiently and they removed it to fix a different issue. If they had taken away blanks and left the substitution pattern in another form nobody would care. Really. Nobody. However this affects:
a) How money is redistributed for managers who have NT and U21 players
b) We now have one less substitution pattern compared to before and one less way to manage minutes
You, as Perpete or Marin, can keep feigning ignorance. I'm not the one who raised this issue, if you had read this thread or the other, like we would expect from any GM, you would know that other managers brought this to everyone's attention before blanks removal was tackled. You can check my game logs and you will see I have used blanks a handful of times in the last 250 games I've played, so you are hopefully able to figure out on your own how much I'm missing blanks.

In basketball many teams do not chase offensive rebounds, either situationally or in general if they can score efficiently on single shots. there are different camps of thought, but in BB I think we can definitely find room for giving up on offensive boards, even if its not a fullcourt game and you get no really defensive benefit from it like in real ball..
Crashing the boards and giving up more fast break points or giving up OR, but going back on defense faster would be a really nice addition to the tactic page (it would mean a trade-off between OR and better defense), but seeing how wacky OR are in the GE this is completely unrealistic.

IMO defensive assignments should not be based on opponent offensive settings. They should be based on skill match-ups and controlled by the defensive and adjusted every possession to fit ideally the skills of the defenders, as in real ball.
This would be ideal. Anyone knows what happened in the past when leaving defensive assignment blank?
