I agree that they have very little chance now, but they are getting the top league income every week. Using that in a smart way, they have the chance to catch up to other teams in few seasons. And there is other teams in same situation so they should be able to play against each other one or two times in the later season because of the system. But yes you are correct that now they have very little chance.

But on the other hand, no tier has an over-powered team now just because they play in higher division than all the others in the same tier. I think it's massive for the tournament. My utopia team plays now in tier 9 and the highest ranked teams are in the 2000s. But they play in div 4 of their country. I much much much rather play against these kind of teams than a team from Israel div 2. At least now my team has an opportunity against them, unlike last season when my best possible result was a loss by only 50 points.

How about my team. I got relegated, have to sell players to get down to the new salary floor(590K last season, 287K this season) and my world rank is 880 and that puts me in Tier 1. I will get destroyed every week.

Yeah... that's what I have in mind a long time ago.... but anyway BBs keep improving it... I also think that grouping according to their conference Salary Floor range would be great... but we can only be patient and hopeful.

Probably it will be a good Idea if it will be just grouped according to their League's Salary floor for this first Season of Implementation... so that Tankers will still be at disadvantage and Promoting teams will find their additional income very useful...

Nobody is forcing you to get down to the salary floor. You could also decide to compete - it's completely up to you. Of course div 2 teams are naturally at a disadvantage but at least the disadvantage is manageable. Many div 2 teams have done well in tier 1.

Also one season of losses sets you for nice ranking drop so you will get to lower tier next season.

Yeah, I second this. As a Div 2 team last season (having the same floor, 270k ~) I went 6-1 in the regular season and was beaten by Kozlik in the first round of PO of tier 1. And I only used a roster with the salaries of 550k and beaten ones with 900k. You can also see that the players werent even that expensive or great either.

It's really not that bad.

Why does everyone think I am tanking. I almost went bankrupt due to a long BBM and cup run last season.

Still no need to be at the salary floor. You won't go bankrupt as long as you stay a little bit above the line and make some profit every week. With that you should be able to have at least 400-500k salaries which is more than enough to get some wins. Maybe not competing for the playoff spots but at least have a competitive team. You went all in last season so it's only natural that after that you have to re-group a while.

And this change didn't affect you at all. You would've been in tier 1 with the old system as well.
