@all HGL managers:
As some of you may have noticed already, I've been updating the participating/interested teams-listing, here: (326589.154).

As you can see, we have 4 new-to-HGL teams to replace 4 teams who are leaving HGL after Season 1.

Let's warmly welcome to HGL some new teams from 4 different countries:
- BC Eos from Estonia (manager LennuK.),
Top8 players' salaries during HGL Season 1: $190521 (HGL-eligible players only)

- KK Stihija from Bosnia-Herzegovina (manager Pihija),
Top8 players' salaries during HGL Season 1: $668718

- Virtus Portici from Italy (manager SventraCanestri),
Top8 players' salaries during HGL Season 1: $474584

- Hårdboll from Sweden (manager Spela),
Top8 players' salaries during HGL Season 1: $464468

As you can see, with these team additions competition in HGL is only going to get tougher, but don´t we all like a little added challenge as it makes sure maximum progress will take place within our own teams (in order to keep our teams as competitive as possible in HGL), right? :)

I'll now be working on editing Season 1 schedule, so that we can re-use it during Season 2. It should be possible by replacing team names in the Season 1 schedule (unless I'm seriously mistaken, in which case anyone please correct me?).
I've sent message about "volunteering" with tokens as we did during Season 1 pre-season match organizing process, and I think only one from Season 1 volunteers I haven't reached so far is T-Lit (this post: (326589.293) and also contacted by BBMail).

So I'll now proceed in match organization process by assuming also T-Lit (one of Season 1 volunteers; 12 challenges sent/tokens spent during Season 1) is willing to remain volunteer.


I'd prefer to do as little changes to the schedule/process as possible to minimize risk of errors (due to manual work and/or making changes that might have unexpected results that aren't easy to spot beforehand, or in some cases simply due to not wanting to making the process more complicated than it needs to be). If changes are required, I'll try to adapt to that. Nobody has reached me so far with the issue of being low on tokens.

After creating/editing schedule I´ll publish it (likely on HGL Season 2 thread) so that we can then proceed to match organizing process for Season 2 of HGL. More on that later here on this Official Thread.

Especially for 4 new teams it's a very good idea to familiarize yourself with the process. This will be the informative post that you´ll see after league schedule has been published: (326590.10). Some editing might be required to re-post it on Season 2 thread, but by reading it you'll get the idea of the process. It might seem complicated, but it's really not once you get hold of it.
Please read it through and if any questions arise, you're very welcome to ask them already before we'll start the actual match organizing process for HGL Season 2.

Yes, you are, we just need to see if we'd then add a 17th team (and 3 matches during one Regular Season week, or if one team is stepping out after Season 2, or if we'd come up with some other solution.

While we don't agree on some things within BB, this doesn't mean you would be excluded from future plans of HGL.

What I'm saying I've been somewhat worried what HGK might do/cause to HGL in the long run. So while it's likely quite clear I'm still not a fan of that "project", it is an action, and my earlier criticism is largely forwarded to that, and not towards your person. Issues/things argue here, not people, as is sometimes said.

This argument/discussion/disagreement also doesn't take away/erase previous things you've done to help get HGL up and running. It doesn't change my earlier comment, that you've been the most helpful of all HG managers when setting up/getting the league up and running in the first place.

And I didn't yet even start to reply to your "recent" posts on HGK/HGL-issue, as I think we've still very far in combining our views in that matter, and I don't think my worries (yes, only possible ones, I agree they're not automatically going to "ruin" HGL, but that also will depend on many things, including what kind of stance you'll take with HGK/what kind of position/status you're going after with HGK in HG community in terms of future goals of the league such as possibly trying to make it the main HG style league) were totally heard and responded to.
(I understand that you wanted to try to take positive approach in your responses and therefore concentrated mainly on positive sides/opportunities, which is often times a very good approach, however at the same time, I felt like many of my concerns weren't heard and certainly weren't wiped away. Having said that, I'm still at the same position, that I can only hope it doesn't have negative consequences to HGL).

Shall I already add you to the list that I keep updating, that includes committed teams for Season 3?

I am sure the conversation regarding the HGK and the HGL is far from over. Something we will have to address at some point in the future.

As for adding me to the list as a 'committed' team for Season 3...?

I think perhaps it wiser not to add me as a certainty at this point. While I really want to compete in all things HG, perhaps the whole HGK v HGL argument will ultimately decide my eventual participation.

I just want to reiterate what I have said before, Wagner: You have put an enormous amount of work and effort into the HGL and should be proud of its inaugural season. Hadar and all of us who competed have been a part of something worth being a part of...as it is the first true HG competition.

With that said, I doubt I will let the HGK go anytime soon. I just think they serve different purposes while at the same time only enhancing the HG community and our experience.

I will enjoy watching the 2nd season of the HGL and see if Hadar can go back-to-back!

Unfortunately practically nothing happens automatically, but nevertheless, your team has now added to the list of Season 3 teams. :)

Yes, it's going to be an interesting one! A new-to-HGL team KK Stihija certainly has his opinion on who will clinch which medal, taking a look at his Top8-salaries, which are "on the same league" with SED and HAD.

Personally I do not find this being a good idea.

Season 2 HGL Threads (main and scores thread) have now been set up, so HGL related conversation will mainly take place in those Threads from now on.

What everyone who participates to Season 2 of HGL needs to do now:

1. at least briefly check out your season schedule (posts 5 and 6 on Season 2 Scores Thread, link at the end of post); I didn't notice anything special/faulty in it, but having another eyes to check it too doesn't harm. (Basically we should be good to go, as I re-used Season 1 Schedule by editing it as little as possible considering we have 4 joining teams, but anyone possibly spotting any problems please let me know).

2. create an own box score post for their team, just like during Season 1.
As an idea for your convenience (and to retain preferred standard for HGL) you can respond to this message (327517.14) and from that post of mine copy-paste everything below * * * * * * to your own box score post (and only change your team name/abbreviation and add match links to it as soon as matches for Season 2 have been organized.

3. Familiarize yourself with match organization process if it's new thing for you or if you need a refresher (guide currently available on 'Announcement'-posts on both Official Threads) and ask questions (if needed) preferably before you'll start the process.

@ Buckner Bandits/T-Lit, and possibly also to others whose pre-season work for Season 2 isn't close to being finished (including making your own box score post for Season 2):
