Sounds like Janitor used his Mafia connections to pressure Stogey to drop out.

Sounds like a good challenge - I think the Dr. would be a great manager for the NT.

He has top level experience and proven ability.

How much do we have to pay him (hired gun)?

to my defense, I think I can say that everyone played exactly the way I figured they would be playing (except for switzerland in the last round robin), including the final with spain. now, did I do it all on my own? yeah, I'm that good and then some, but… it's just impossible. I had exceptional guys beside me, providing assistance and moral support in the final minutes before the game… "SO? WE SAID MAN TO MAN? ARE WE SURE? HOW ABOUT A FULL COURT PRESS? COME ON?" — you can plan the game as far in advance as you want, but the last five minutes will always be like that.

Yeah, but how much help do you really need when you play LI/M2M in every single game that matters? That you won is more a testament to the incredible roster talent Italy has than to any brilliant managerial decision making.

Your club team isn't really much different... you've played outside offenses in 40 league games over the past 2 seasons, and man defense *47* times.

It's one thing to be predictable when you have the players to overcome it, but that's not going to be the case with the US.

How would you guys improve people's awareness of the NT within our region? Not only that but also involve more people in the discussion of the NT and educate tHem With regards to BB.It seems the discussion is a bit one sided at times. Sorry if this is incoherent typing on the iPhone and I have a giant ass unforgiving fingers

One of the things I mentioned in my speech was to get a NT prediction thread going. Spain (and others) have this before each game, asking managers to predict the outcome (point differential), and have gotten tremendous response. To sweeten the pot, I'll throw in a supporter package prize to the person that does the best job over the course of the season. Getting more people into the game threads is half the battle.

Another half is getting people into the chat during games. We had some great discussions in there this past season, with more than a handful of people coming in to chat about the game and ending up discussing all sorts of BB strategy, tactics, training, etc. I know we got a couple people hooked on single position training, and helped more manage minutes to maximize GS. Hopefully as more people take advantage of the chat tool, we can continue (and expand) this. The more people we can engage along these lines, the better our trainees will be.
