Hey Barca

Looks like we're the main guys in contention for the Great 8 title. Good luck against Dekalb Dimes though :P That guy would rather have a complete super team right now and no incoming profit/week than to just play it more conservative. I can't wait for him to promote out

yes, i'm guessing he just trains his game shape as well. A team like that won't last long though. hehe, i'll see how it goes, good luck for the rest of the season, and see you in the conference final (i hope).

yeah, it just sucks that he's, in all likelihood, going to promote this season and then we're going to have to battle it out next season ourselves, so one of us is going to have to wait 2 full seasons before going to D.IV.

well i know a guy in d3, he said it is possible for 3 teams to be promoted, (in d5), but it would be the 2 teams that win their conference + whoevers wins the championship besides those 2. So one of us probably could, if one of us wins our conference we have a chance. Lots of complicated stuff.

Let's just have fun this season, and get as many wins as we can...

Hey all, new here... kind of.

I've dabbled at this game a couple of times but never lasted more than a season and a half. I am hoping to keep active this time. I haven't decided what my strategy will be yet. Just spent some beginner money on renovations for my arena thinking long term. Might take things slow and tank this year in hope of getting a solid trainee for next season and the future. If I can find a few solid players and good prospects in the market I might try and make a push for the playoffs but it might be getting too late in the season for having a realistic shot.

You guys are right about DeKalb. All of his players are in their mid to upper 30s and taking huge salaries for a team at this level. He will be in bad shape in the near future as I doubt he has much cash reserves.

Good luck the rest of the season and I hope to join you in being competitive soon.

Welcome JG :)

Nice to see old-timer's coming back. This is actually my third run as well, with my last one getting to DII before getting bored of the game.

I feel like our league specifically gets SOO many new players, it's quiet ridiculous. It's nice to have some competition your first season, but the last two times I played, DV was a walkthrough where you learned how to play quickly and accumulated some money before being guaranteed an advancement.

Good luck sticking around this time JG and much success (except when you're playing me)! ;)

Thanks APG I appreciate the kind words.

I doubt I'll make very much noise this season. It looks like you and Barca will be battling it out to get to the championship. I look forward to following that battle the rest of this season. Maybe I'll get a shot at one of you guys in the championship next year!

Yeah Barca, our next game should be interesting for sure.

Both of you had really interesting games last night.

Iowa, just wow. I don't think I'll ever see a 4 OT game again. Like, wow. Must have been really really exciting if you were watching it live - it's a shame that you came out on the bottom of that. It could have easily gone either way.

Barca, very good effort against Dekalb. You managed to get it within 15, which is so much better than anybody else has done. AND you did it with your second-highest salaried player injured after just 14 minutes. Way to go man! He'll have home-court advantage if you meet in the finals, but I feel like if you met him in the finals, you'd be able to put up a good fight (especially if you decided to buy better players).
