If you have a players or group of players that have above average skills in JS/JR, HA/DR/PA, and IS, then you might be able to run Patient. Keep in mind, Patient looks for the biggest mismatch with JS and OD, so it may not work out the way you expect it to.
For Run and Gun, you need guards (and bigs) with above average JS/JR, along with stamina and some PA. Since fewer drives and inside shots will be taken, you don't need as much DR/IS.
What you could do is play Patient and set your best guard at C, then set a defensive switch for the guard at to play defense as PG so that he doesn't defend the opposing big(s) on defense.
