Hi wertol and pecinja,

Tipans was my best center last season but his injury caused me to play few games. We probably would have won a few more games with him.

However I am preparing the national team for the next European championships this season. I want to give more experience at the young players as Vientulnieks, Naglins, Brona, Vucens, Aboms, Mollerbratt and others than they have played some friendly last season. Tipans have 34 years he can lose skills any friday and he hadn´t nice shape this season.

I hope you understand my decision.

Yesterday we have lost against Nederland 118-90. This match was very very difficult and I have risky to the max with bad result ...

We need win the next 3 games to pass at the next round and this is my target.

Hi,

We won against Al Maghrib 154 - 82 last week but we have lost against Crna Gora 72 - 88 last monday. We have risked in this match because they were a difficult opponent who had much more enthusiasm than us. We were in good shape and got good grades but it wasn't enough.

I will continue with the planned plan of giving experience to the younger players.

Hi,

We have lost the last game against Slovenija 92-80 for a bad approach. With this match we have finished the consolation tournament. I am not happy with the result.

We start the friendlies against Nippon tomorrow.

We have played two friendlies yet:

Nippon 113 - 98 Latvija --> Rudaks has played his first game with the national team. He es training very well and he will be important in the next seasons. Šterns-Stirpe is back to the national team because he had nice form with the new manager.

Prathet Thai 103 - 110 Latvija --> I've tried a few things against an old rival. Baumerts is back to the national team because he can help us in the future as SF in some games.

I would also like to thank BlackElvis because he has spent 3M to buy Vucens. He is one of our best players and I am sure he will be well trained.

We have played two friendlies more against Luxembourg and Australia. I have been able to draw good conclusions about our team.

This mandate comes to an end and I want to do a little analysis. It has been an honor to be a national coach and I have tried to do my best. I have tried to fight every game with our players and I have renewed the roster. I hope I have been fair to all the managers who take care of our players.

I have incorporated new young players to the national team and others not so young who had played little but who may be important in the coming seasons. If I am not wrong there are 7 players that they have played his first game/friendly during this 2 seasons: Vientulnieks, Naglins, Rudaks, Brona, Vogel, Vucens and Elleris.

In the sports section I have to say that I am not happy because I expected to achieve better results. I think there have been more successes than mistakes but we have lacked a little more luck.

I hope that the future will be better to the national team and I hope to be participate in the success.
