i looked at it from another angle: if 3-2, like you and nachtmahr proved, can efficiently defend LI AND outside tactics (given the right players). Then we will maybe see teams that play 3-2 all the time. this will then cause even harder times for 3pt shooters.
you can argue, that if you play 3-2 on the other hand you may be able to play with slightly less OD at the guard positions because the 3-2 zone gives you a bonus at defending outside anyway. this enables the team which is playing 3-2 to play good shooters.
but you said even in this case you still favor OD.
and your SF will need a lot of OD too, so you will want to swap some shooting in favour of his OD ... again this is just theoretically, but it may signify hard times for 3pt shooting teams to come.
but lets see if JR proves as useful on a high lvl like SB does before we jump to conclusions. maybe there is a team out there who will experiment with it.
also I doubt that everyone will adopt your tactic and play 3-2 and GDp inside from now on. there may not be enough players to copy it
