I'm sure there have been many times where coaches have told their team to take it easy for that game as they didn't need to try their best to win for example.

That's ridiculous. Even in games that don't matter the coaches just play backups who get a chance to show what they can do.

I disagree. There´s for sure different kind of motivation you can give to your team: and if you overuse a hype them up approach, your team will wear down. So you try to send them out with focus, but not with full passion all the time.

it's easy to understand for a European (or a football fan) as we have different tournaments here running at the same time so managers can make choices..
but in NBA, every game has the same importance so i understand Brian..

really i am just an nba fan, but commentorys mostly mention, that the teams had to step up during off season and can play relax during the tons of regular season games - where there probadly go full speed against in confronation against direct opponents or only the last quarter.

And even when the coach didn't say it directly, when he brings the backup at early stages a lot, anfd give them more play time he signalised the team that the win isn't that important.

I don't thnik skipping the breaks altogether would be any good. But I can imagine shortening them could actually be a good move for the BB game.

make breaks between Q1 and Q2 and betwen Q3 and Q4 2 minutes instead of 3. It's just enough for a leak, or even grab a soda if wanted, but it's not too long to wait out for the next Q to start.

At halftime 6 minutes or 9 minutes would be better then 12 as well.

For BBs profit, they can do commercials at half time as well.

BBs have been thinking about cheerleaders as well, but they couldn't figure out how to implement. they asked a specific fed to help out, but there where not enough members in the fed, and they never came up with anything decent either.
But if someone comes up with something worked out, and not too hard to implement, I think they'll have ears for it. So creative minds... go ahead!

An other tip is to use the chat feature. It's nice to talk to others watching games in your country. And during half time, you don't miss any action. Boost about the score, ask tactical questions to other managers, show off with your player's performance,... it's a great way to kill the time.

For those desperatly seeking for more entertainment still, there's youtube to watch, and yuo can watch almost anything there, during those 12 minutes.

I vote for... instead of cutting off the halftime or quarter times..... I would like to see a short flash animation about the top 5 or why not!!! top 10 of best moment of the quarter.

Just tell me if you wouldn't like to see your player in action!!! i.e. a short flash of your Guard shooting from far away in the distance, or your center just with the best block ever, or the greatest rebound among a crow of players fighting to get the ball after that missed shoot, or the wonderful assistance follow for the perfect dunk...

Just a short animation of 3 or 5 seconds for each play... IT WOULD BE THE BEST!!!1

As above somebody said: " I can have my smoking break + a cup of coffee" I think it would be better to smoke and drink coffee while you're watching the top 10 of the quarter by a flash animation or other software.

Prob a lot of server load there. Anything that increases load is likely a bad idea. At least, until more people start paying for supporter.
