I can vouch for the importance of Nickleon and before that Foto

You are joking right? Foto was a joke. He was always BAN HAPPY. He banned me and took my LA gig away for me using an ENGLISH word that wasn't rude or crude at all. And then 4 days later I see you use the same word in the forums and when I BB mail him to ask him about it he added another week to my ban. Having a non-native English speaker policing the forums trying to understand what context an English word or phrase is being used in, is a very bad idea.

As Perpete said Foto was a very important part of the game and he worked so hard to make this better.

AGAIN....Your opinion. To me, he was a bully who made me not want to support the game anymore. He made me NOT want to tell people how fun the game was anymore. I remember just like three seasons ago he fined me for a player sell that was legit. Even after I took it to appeals, the BB's said the sell was legit. I always thought it was funny how every time I would get a fine/forum ban, it was always Mr. FOTO. This guy you paint as a saint was actually a bully who would single people out.

Please let us think something different because we know more about what Foto did for the game.
Its not good to speak about him like this only because he did something which affected you.
As Perpete said Foto was a very important part of the game and he worked so hard to make this better.
And how do you suppose users are able to discern this? We have Perpete who says all GMs are reasonable, no GMs ever gets it wrong and if he does he has his reasons, all GMs are the epitome of honesty etc etc. Then we hear and see actual examples (like the one I linked, like Wolph's and Yellowcake's cases) that makes this dubious to say the least. How can we believe that without any information whatsoever? It's like a police department defending an officer suspected of corruption or abuse, by saying: we are sure all our officers show exemplary behaviour on the job and regarding the specific accusations we can't share any information, sorry.

Being in the game for years doesn't giving to anyone the right to do whatever he wants like violating the forums rules or the game rules in general. And this is count for all of us.
And the same counts if you belong to the staff or you are paying Supporter. Rules are for everyone and we have to clear this up because many users believe that there is a different behavior to Supporters and different to non-Supporters.
This is perfect Nickleon. I'm sure this applies for yourself but for the others 30+ GMs we have to take your word for it (or Perpete's).

Let me ask you this: has any GM ever been banned for abusing his power like in Wolph's case? What would you do if you find out a GM is acting mainly in his own interest?

And here' s the nail in the coffin. Questionable behaviour by GMs (even if only perceived to be so, which was not the case here) do destroy the sense of community and fairness in the game especially since the information is not available to evaluate both sides of the story. Personally, I am very upset at what happened with the 2 English managers based on the information I have, that does not make me feel like I want to help or contribute more, if anything it makes me feel like doing less and potentially quit.

To me, the secrecy policy is more damage control than avoiding flame wars.

And how do you know since everything must be kept secret and off the boards as per game policy (which is what I think should be addressed, before Nik0 decides that this is off topic for this thread)? GMs being banned would be proof that there is an effort from GMs/EGMs, but not all GMs have always acted responsibly ;) (at least in the past).
