lol just keep active, and stay away from beer :D beer is the single worst thing you can pour down your throat.

LOL I just put my stubby to my mouth when I read this. Classic.

Hey guys. Bainsy suggested i drop in and say hello...so...er...hello!

@ Skyhookz: BB and Beer! I've just dropped my kids off with their mother (her turn) and like to get on BB with a beer or...well, whatever the night suggests.

At least this forum is active unlike mine. Mind you, it has had its moments.

Commando, what a movie... What btw has this forum come to, boys I appreciate a little extra padding on the guts beers help me keep that but doesn't mean you can't keep fit and active.. Suggestion, little less BB little more shooting hoops! On a lighter note, no red competitors anymore, whomever wins through the blue will promote.. Exciting, who has more money,...

I'm assuming that's by choice?

Despite my current beer drinking (onto 4th :-) ) I'm not a total slouch. When my tennis "career" died last year I started running again. Ran the City to Surf this year (12km) and plan on killing the time this year although I'm contemplating the half marathon, but I used to be fit and very active (I suppose we all say that). I'd like to say that I'm going to get up tomorrow at 6 and go for a run but...it's just not going to happen! Will start running again (training) in a few weeks time prior to school going back (I'm a school teacher).

@ bainsy, I played tennis semi-competitively up until end of last year when shoulder died! lol Need surgery (too many aces! lol). seriously though, love tennis nearly as much as basketball.

where abouts do you live?

my new years resolution is to get fit and work out. 6 days in and i havent done anything. but it has been tough for the last week or so. my pa passed away and we had his funeral, so havent felt like doing anything constructive. might go for a run tomorrow.

i just play local tennis. standard is alright, but i wont be on the ATP tour any time soon. i went to a 21st about 3 weeks ago and fucked my hand... ahh that sounds bad, i injured my hand while severely intoxicated so i havent played in a few weeks. I am surprised i havent injured my shoulder due to the amount of serves i serve (due to a ridiculous amount of faults).

who do you think has the goods for the Australian Open?

by choice and a bit by chance :D

i have started running in the mornings... so if you hear of any earthquakes in China at between 6:30-7am melbourne time, you know the cause :D 6:30am is the only time i can do it, as wife and kid are in bed still and not nagging me for something :D

my goal for the year is to run the Melbourne Marathon in October, would love to do the 10km, but the 5km is unrealistic at this point, so that is more the focus :D

i still dont think tennis wasthe course of your injury... 2 much of another action i am guessing :D

I live in Perth, WA.

Sorry to here about your old man. Can't imagine how hard that'd be...or rather, don't want to. My old man and I are pretty close.

I say semi-competitive...meaning I was just starting to play local pennants against seasoned players. I have played local tennis since I was about 8 and wished I'd taken it more seriously then. I'm 36 (37 in a couple of days) and only returned to playing competetive tennis a couple of years ago. Getting my fitness up alittle and then making the pennants team was great fun only for it to end with severe shoulder pain (we all get old eventually). I keep putting off sorting out the shoulder (it's been 12 months now). Shit!

Anyway, enough sooking! I love tennis and, if I so eventually get this shoulder fixed, will definately get back into again.

Sorry, I read 'pa' and didn't think.

You say football? Well, before I say what I'm going to say, let me just say it's been nice speaking with you LOL

Here it is...I'm a PASSIOANTE FREO DOCKER SUPPORTER! Deal with it. lol

As for soccer, until last year, I'd never really got into it. As a teacher and active in all the sports, I took a little more interest this past year in the game of soccer due to the fact that I had a few good players in my class who convinced me it was a pretty good game. My view has changed and is still changing I must admit.
