My suggestion is to make a minimum bid for any player be set at two or three times their salary, and for the player to be paid a signing bonus of one week's salary.

Do you really think that would solve the problem?

A 400k player would now cost incredible 1,6 million only to sign (sold at few 100k at the moment) and a 150k center would still get sold for 1-1.5 million (minimum-listing would have zero effect) +- the signing fee.

Such a move would it make impossible to get rid of a salary monster and ruin teams stuck with those players. I think a players salary cap of 250k/week would still make sense, as the big boys would be the most interesing players on the market then and the prices would definitely skyrocket.

I think that there is no longer any need for making best players more desirable after introducing isolation tactics. Especially highly payed centers, because they mean the easiest way for making this tactic effective.

Uh? That doesn't make sense to me. I don't mean this in a snarky way, I just don't see what point you're making. If you're saying that the new isolation tactics allow you to field a team with one superstar and 4 50k types, that just isn't true...

You could do that before the new tactics were implemented. You still probably won't win anything, but you're still allowed to field such a team. ;)

field that team... and win.

don't get too distracted by your silver trophies. winning is still the objective of the game.

You don't have any proof that is true.

I think it would help.
1.6 million for one game or one week is a lot less attractive than 200 grand.

I believe (and hope) that you have much easier life if you pick up SF. Is probably enough to have just defences, rebounding and passing. And something like that could give you 4 50k players.

Is that a bad thing?

I don't know. It was just an idea. I think the ability to buy Superman for one game for $200k and sell him before you have to pay his wages is one of the most serious problems we currently face in this online game. To me it goes against any sort of fair play or ethics or whatever you want to call it. I know it's not illegal and there are plenty of people who think it's a good strategy. I just think it's bogus and makes things decidedly less fun.
