Jump Range: Bill Laimbeer
lol...

If there is a skill for "Jerk", then "legendary" wouldn't be superlative enough for Laimbeer.

Laimbeer legendary JS? wow I put that right up with lord of the rings in the epic fantasy dept.

If there was a skilled titled Big Mouth/Small Brain than AI would certainly be Legendary.

Laimbeer had unusually good range for a seven footer at the time he played. His ability to draw the opposing center to the 3 point line was one of the key factors for the Pistons success. His best year was I believe 37.6% for 3FG which was quite good at the time. He's not 'legendary' at Jump Range. Maybe proficient, or something like that. If you field a center in BB with proficient jump range, he's going to make some 3's because his defender is probably not going to have a lot of outside defence.

Now, based on the names on the list, it looks like you have been watching basketball for a while, and your list is pretty solid. But I keep seeing Michael Jordan show up for 'legendary' jump shot, and it seems that David Stern and Nike's marketing machine really did a number on people.

If you look at Jordan's shooting percentages, he shot over 50% in 6 of his 15 seasons, which were his first season, and then seasons 4-8. In his last seven seasons, he shot below the 50% mark. And what was different? He started relying more on his jump shot and drove to the hoop less. So I would give more credibility to people putting him on the driving list, but since he only did that for half a career he doesn't really belong on that list either.

In contrast, Steve Nash, who regularly makes the list for Handling or Passing (as he should), but seldom for Jump Shot or Jump Range has shot over 50% for each of the last seven seasons, and his career 3FG% is an astonishing .429, a full 30 points higher than Ray Allen who regulary makes the Jump Range list.

Ray Allen shoot also much more 3pt than Nash,so a minimal difference in 3pt% it would not however give him the edge in the jump range categorie, imho
I would put him at the legendary level both in JS and FT,while it's "only" 18 or 19 in JR

I agree on Jordan, also if i Think that paradoxically he could not be the best in any of BB skill, but he would have like 4 or 5 skill like 18-19 and a lot of other high skills
