Getting players in the ballpark of Stav and Stronks is of course the goal, but that is some exclusive company. Stronks is arguably the best guard in BB now and possibly ever. Stavridis is at least one of the top 25 guards in BB. We were blessed to have all these guards at around the same time, but the reality is having all the chips fall in place like that again will be difficult and unlikely. Chacon is good enough to contribute to Canadas NT another season or two of training and he will be ready to take a larger role when the Big Three have to step back. Also I never said that they would be huge parts of the NT at ages 34/35. I would expect that Kearns would probably get left off the team in his age 34 season, 34/35 yeat old Stronks and Stav being our 5th/6th guards would be great in my opinion.

At 26 we have Chacon
25 we have Guevin and Ferguson
22-24 there is Macindeor and Hernandez.
Way back at 19 is Jarvis.

Thin, I know, but there are also other 18-21 year old MVP+ guards being trained that im excited about.

While I am always up for fresh blood I have yet to hear you make a single comment about how you would improve the Canadian NT program.

I too have a fairly decent BB history and have proven that I can win at all levels including the NT. That does not however make me the best candidate or even a candidate at all. Our past is great but to convince Canadians you are worthy of votes you are going to need to lay out you plan in detail for people to determine if it is rubbish or something we want to explore further.

The other candidates including Bballin have proven track records within Canada and have also been involved in conversations about how things could change under their control.

No offence but your interest in managing our NT does not seem genuine at all, therefor until you prove otherwise you have absolutely zero chance at gaining my vote.

Vote to keep Canada in control of Canada, Bballin for Manager!

Ok now, bringing nationality into it is stepping a bit low. Lets keep discussion clean and choose the manager that can bring highest amount of success. Although I agree with you that without laying out a plan and sharing at least a bit of knowledge already at this point this election is a lost cause for kozlik. If there can be found mistakes in past seasons (not doing anything to avoid a team with HCA is a legit one but it doesnt outshines the overall great job that bbalin made). Also, not allowing to have access to off-site is pretty much a red light because it doesnt allow manager to participate in discussions about NT. That bit (if it's true, maybe bbalin can refer to that and explain reasoning?) is what got me worried because thats just playing dirty.

So what I would like to see before making a choice, and what I think would help others make educated decission is:
- finding ways how past seaons could be played out better
- Bbalin refering to accusation about not letting his election-rival have access to off-site forum
- kozlik actually drawing up a plan and explainging it to Canadian community instead of just relying on past success

I for one will be making my decission based on plans that NT-managers show, not on the past record (netiher Bbalin's nor kozlik's) and would be glad if other did the same

Vote for bballin! Unless you want to vote for me... then do that. Not Kolzik!

- Bbalin refering to accusation about not letting his election-rival have access to off-site forum

OK, maybe I'm missing the point here, but isn't the whole point of our offsite do be able to discuss things OFF-SITE so that only our community can access it? We share our offsite forums with multiple countries, and we don't allow any of them to see our player skills and our strategies, so why is it "playing dirty" to not allow a former NT coach of one of the strongest countries in the game into that fold when nobody else is either.

Maybe Kozlik is completely honest with his intentions, and he really did want to come in and help, but at what point do we start making judgement calls and letting everyone read our discussions because they say that they want to help? Nothing against Kozlik, but I'm with Bballin on this. Don't let outsider countries in, point blank. The only questionable part of it to me is not even responding to the BB-mail, if that actually happened. Playing your cards close to the vest is fine, but it's no reason to disregard common courtesy.

Just my two cents.

You got a point there, but as already happened in the past, Canadian managers wanted to share info with other NTs (dont know what the motivation was) and it was only thanks to honesty of other countries that it wad revealed, so just having a right flag beside your name means nothing. Also, as far as i know new canadian managers are also accepted without proving themselves, so i dont see why someone aspiring to become a member of community (and important one at that) should be denied access, and even if, then lack of activity regarding NT on the forums shouldnt be used as argument against such manager. Also, I dont see why kozlik would share that info. Even if you dont trust the guy, there is absolutely no reason for him to shre it with anyone, because lets face it. Poland doesnt need it since their NT is stronger.

It's a case where kolzik won a substantial share of the vote in the last election, and many more thought he could be a great resource for the NT with his knowledge. At the very least, that shouldn't have been a decision Bballin should have made on his own, and should have asked the Canadian community whether kolzik should be given access. It's pretty clear imo why kolzik would be a unique case, and the slippery slope argument that we'll let everyone in is a very weak argument in this case.

That said, I still want to hear from both teams, a plan from kolzik, and a response to jfarb's suggestion that we played not to lose as opposed to trying to win from bballin (ie. if we thought Chile or US was impossible in the semis, we should have tried to get within their group to pull off an upset there).

I don't think anyone is being asked to base their vote on nationality alone but honestly if is a factor. We are talking about an online game not the real world. Many factor come into play including time zone, best interests, long term planning and scouting. But nationality aside there are still no answers...

We can be certain that the Canadian managers are in it for the long hail and that they will continue to update player spreadsheets and respond to user messages. The reason we know this is because they have proven it, prior to being Nt managers. At this point kolzig has not proven anything, he only shows up at election time and contributes nothing elsewhere. The fact that he was denied access to the offsite is a non factor for me, the BB community is here not on the offsite. Be part of the Canadian forums here to prove your self and then worry about accessing the off site forum.

Looking forward to hearing the detailed plan but expect that this candidate is trying to run on his past, frankly the past means jack squat. I want to know what he plans to do to improve our NT short and long term. This does not require access to builds or anything else it just requires a plan, which he apparently does not have.
