Unless the BB team wakes up one morning and says "you know what, this whole redesign was not what we wanted to do", then I'm going to assume they will continue to recommend the new short menu.

One week ago, BB team woke up and they said "you know, there is a problem with the economics, and FA come back to the market"

The redesing don´t works fine, i used short menu for 3 or 4 month and you need always one click more than using long menu.

Long menu appearance it`s worse, but it´s secundary, when you use long menu you reach your target quickly.

So when you say "not happening" i smile :-) and think in FA

I use the short menu.

The short menu is just inefficient.

For me, it's much more efficient than the long menu now that I know where to find things (of course, it took a few days to learn the new system). Personally, I'm not a fan of drop down menus, but the two-level approach otherwise works for me. I'm not going back to the long menu.
