I think this season will be a lot more even. I do think it is unfair to say the Big 8 was slaughtered last season in inter conference play. If you look at the top 4 of each in the games that actually mattered there was only a 2 game total difference. We just had a much worse tail. But fairly much all season the bottom 4 Big 8 and the bottom 3 of the Great 8 never beat any of the top 8 teams.

This season will be better. Big 8 we have Yoks who says he is going for it this season. FCTB always goes for it. I have a half good team. Salary floor of $400k means Stunners will be winning games. NKRK didn't spend all this time getting here to tank. Umi Says has a $5-600k roster. That is at least 6 teams that should be able to put up some sort of fight. Much better.

In the Great 8 the most interesting team is Mythical Man-Month. He could be the 2nd richest team in the JBBL. 2 x $1,000,000 promotion money. Seasons of big income & low costs. 20k arena. Been playing longer than me. Smart manager. Could be a strong contendor unless he just likes winning d2 every 2nd season.

Baikinman already had an almost JBBL standard roster probably needing just 1 more player.

And the Great 8 has all the returning guys. Don't see a lot of free wins this season.

Madany is gone. He was a great player but at age 32 I think you again ripped someone off for $1.7 million. Well rounded skills but his age is a huge negative. A pity he went out with a loss, but not for me, lol. That is the first time I have ever beaten you & I had to have everything in my favour to do it, home court, enthusiasm but I'm still happy with the win as I did have to battle Madany, Göncz, Krejči, Dalmazzo, Jarábek etc.

I was really pleased to see $50k Kawagichi outplay your $185,000 man Jarábek. He shot better, had more assists, more rebounds, more steals & did it in an offence that doesn't suit guards.

I agree, $1.7M for Madany or any 32 year old player is just stupid. The market for bigs has gone insane in the last week. I watched Stunners and two other guys bid a guy up that to $3.2M. He's a great player but was worth less than half that a week or two ago. I guess everyone is trying to load up for the new season and competing for limited guys. Funny thing is that you can get good guards for cheap right now.

I have only 1 big on my roster and I guess I'm going to have to go with just that for a while until things cool down or someone slips through. I at least need to find a cheap backup level player to balance things out.

1.7 million was very strange. 1 bid and done. but oh well...there is a sucker born every minute. I guess if you think it was to good to be true you can always report it.

I find the recent buying frenzy pretty funny...
