I hope to get atleast one of them, and behind them I have 8 5star players...but no more information about them 4PG 1SG 2PF 1C.....only star rating....so I put them looking at the box score...

TNX for the answer....but still need to pray that someone else dont pick them as first, even bots, because I am in the 1st place in my league.....:)

I am in the same boat, picking last in a league with 4 other non-bot players. Except my draft is nowhere nearly as exceptional as yours.

My take is that you're likely going to get at least one of your top 4 picks.

I would even say that you are likely to stay with at least one of your 2 first picks. At last years draft in my league everyone except two (I think it was) got their first pick, the other two got away with the second. About 50-75% of the teams where active.

Btw, I would gladly trade all my top four picks for any one in your top for. Good luck!

You guys seem to rate potential pretty high! What about the fact, that it is only" a soft cap, meaning that you can train, but that it will be slower?

I've got 2 players(both SG).
1 : 5 star rating(A+) with 4 star potential
2 : 4 star rating(B-) with 5 star potential.

I'm currently ranking the first one above the second one. But I could be wrong.

both potentials are fairly high, so thats a toss up.

i had trouble deciding between a 4 star/4 potential playre and a 5 star/? potential player. Leaning towards the 4/4, cuase the 5 could ahve 3 or worse potential, and you can't change potential.

I've been doing some thinking there too. I've got 11 5-star players, but 8 of them haven't got a rating for potential. If the 4/4 is a B-, then I would probably take a chance on the 5-stars.
But it depends on the distribution of potential ratings.

if you're on the fence, think if thats a postion player youre looking to train and/or take a closer look at their box score stats. I hate training FT's, so anyone w/ bad free throws got dropped to the bottom of their comparable star rating.

Yes, of course it's tougher as at least one of te players has to survive the first 15 picks (not 31).

However, the likelihood that a player is picked randomly is 1/48, i.e. the probability that he is not picked is 47/48. If he is left the second round the probability is 46/47 and so on to the 15th round where his probability of "survival" is 33/34 = 97%.

As he has to survive all these picks the total probability becomes 69% that he is left. The probability that both the first picks are left is 47%. Finally the probabilty that at least one of the first or second pick is left is 91%!

That is, in a league like yours where almost all teams are bots you are very likely to get either you first or second pick. Ragans league is much more active, so of ocourse this decreases his chances. However, I would believe that quite a few of the active teams do not really care that much about the draft (just as a lot of teams dont seem to give a damn about their arena). Thus I would still think that he has a quite good chance to get one of his first two picks.

I hope a did my calculaions right now. It's a long time since I calculated probabilities. Probably about a decade or so.

I've got 1 4* star potential and 5 3* potential out of 9 twice scouted players. 4* one is SG and i dont train SG but he is also A+ and 20 8-10 0-2 4-5 1 2 1 1 1 0 5 20 box score. He made too many fauls but nice points indeed, but again i dont train SG.
And i got 2 centers with 5 Star rating and i dont know their grade rating or potential, but both of them got great box scores like 1st one: 37 13-14 0-1 2-2 1 11 8 2 0 0 0 28 (i think i can say GREAT for him to the other guys' box scores.) and 2nd one: 36 1-4 0-0 2-2 4 12 5 3 1 5 2 4 (This one got 5 damn blocks in one match, and good rebounder, he didnt try much shots but 1-4 is not perfect but we cant decide he is good or not).
So i ask u what to do? i made my 1st 3 order like 1st center than 2nd one than SG. What do u say about these? I'm thinking of not taking 3* potential with crap box scores but 5 star ratings, its better to take shot and try the ones with great box scores but no info about potential?
