Actually thats a pretty good idea. Could even have a credit by region and then a higher credit for home grown players.

I have not posted about HHH, I believe that Jokehim did. However it is not really important at all if HHH, or any other team, saves or looses money depending on if it is a discount or a tax. As you are compeeting against other teams that have the same conditions as you the effect is just some "deflation"/"inflation". The interesting thing is if it adds some fun or not for most teams, as -obviously- in the long run most people who have fun tend to play the game longer than those that find it boring.

Anyway, I do not think that a 10-20% (which is the proposal and not "10%") will have a big impact on people staying away from the TL, however I am certain that it will have some negative impact as the only thing it does for most teams is to complicate the transfer without added value/fun.

I posted about HHH. I think that it is much more complicated than just comparing salaries with arena income. Don't forget that to stay competible you need a strong team, i.e. you must buy new players, and that you also need to pay money for the staff (my cost is almost $60000 week there without having highest level). The economy is much more complicated than I described and right now I think that most teams have a big difficulty to stay strong and also avoid a negative balance on a weekly basis.

Perhaps added strategy? I think this will benefit those willing to be diligent on the TL, and be a detriment to those who are not. Extra effort reaps rewards :)

Well we don't know what is going to happen, exactly. I agree with you that it would be better if this were the case. It would also help average teams in smaller countries who don't have a lot of foreign players, of which there are many many many teams. I checked around in Spain's second divisions, in Italy's second divisions and there are lots of teams with over 50% domestic players. In Thailand, there are only five or six teams that have even 1 foreign player, so if it is a reduction in salary for domestic players, the teams behind the division leaders will be helped out a lot.

Yes,I agree with you, also because the salaries will rise so much in the future with the players with high potential,so if we create new difficulties it will be a problem. This kind of solution for who have homegrown players help so much about this aspect :D

Yes, it could be seen as a mean for added strategy. However, the strategy in itself is obvious, buy domestic players if possible becuse they are cheaper, thus in the end it is more about who has the will and the patience to sit on the TL rather than who comes up with the best strategy.

Sorry to confuse you with Jokehim...

I see your point and I guess I agree, although it certainly wouldn't hurt my fun. I am of the opinion that if the game is too easy it's fun quotient diminshes. But, as I have said, I am not the target audience for the developers. And, as my first post in this thread said, we don't really have any clue what form the change will come in. I have been happy with the changes made to game so far in my 5+ seasons of playing, so I'm going to remain optimistic.

And, Jokehim, sorry to confuse you with Chespirito.

Once I scored a basket that still makes me laugh.

Ok, for this time, but dont make it again. Who would like to be mixed up with Jokehim? ;)

I would also want more strategy and "complexity", but that does not need to come with negative side effects like this would. The reason why you are not doing the optimal thing should be that you dont master it, not that you think it is boring work (as many would with putting more focus on the transfer).

I feel honored to be confused for such dignity. He is the reason I found this place by the way ...

Agreed that it isnt a complex strategy, but one that rewards players who put in extra time. We all have our own level of commitment and involvement with this game, and those willing to work harder in any facet of the game should be able to reap the rewards.
