The european championship starts next monday and we play agains Ceska Rep. They are the number 7 of the world and one of the favourites to the title.

I have decided the 10 players to the first game and I will pick new players when their ways improve.

I will write a post each week to talk about the game of the national team.

What are your expectations for the championship??

Good game, with 3-2 zone and outside preparation and injury of our key scorer in first minute it was tough game until the 3rd quarter.

Good luck against Germany, Greece and Russia!!

hey, better tell how much did you pay to refs?
Preperation, 3-2 zone, one of the key scorers injured, and still 32 vs 12 in FT.

good tactical homework!

about roster - who are next in the line to make it NT team - lets say 3-4 guys in each position? maybe they go on TL and someone would be interested to get them if they would know that some training pops or keeping excellent shape would open the guy doors for NT roster.

I was unable to select some of my favorite players for this match due to injuries and form.

I can´t write here the names of the future NT players but I have sent a BBmail to the managers with great latvijan players.

I am also making a database with the best players from 18-26 years old. I am talking with their managers because they will be the future of the national team.

If you want we can talk more in private. ;)

I think Latvijan players were overmotivated due to shown themselves to new manager :-)
My team was so disciplined this match it's not usual. I think your players commited so many fouls due to 3-2 zone as there were under pressure inside the box.
But there were other key factors in this game too, for example turnovers.

Franěk is our key player for outside tactics as well as Fojt is, but he is out of game shape. At the half time I had to talk with the players and it worked well in 3rd quarter :-)
