Time to revamp this discussion. Here is what should never happen if we want BB to survive:

So I would like to propose we add this extra option to the initial list:
"GMs, EGMs and BBs should behave more responsibly"

I would be very interested to see Perpete's, Hrudey's and any other honest (hopefully) GM's opinion about this extra option! I'm very confident I'd be able to find the 33 votes to put this on top among the 200 odd English managers (well now we have a couple less) to top the "stop LCD/blanks" option.

Banning 4 users (2 of them long-standing English managers) seemingly because 1 of them has reported some misconduct is not a wise way to run the community, in my opinion.

Moomins' post alone will lose this game many more users than the 4 who were banned. The fact that people will not know in details what happened will just make things worse, because of course we will never know the official version about what exactly happened.

So you could rename the point: "More transparency" or whatever you like, but aside from losing people who are important to a community shenanigans like that do more damage to the game and the community than LI dominance, LCD/Blanks will ever do.

Several banned users can and will give their side of the story and have support from other users, that doesn't mean the decision was bad. I'm currently on holidays, so not up to date to that case and I'm not saying that was this user is doing, but it's important to take it with a grain of salt and by being objective.

None of us knows and I'm sure there is a reason for what happened, but the lack of information and these kind of situations damage the game as a whole and entire communities, much more than design flaws. I hope you do realise this.

Nobody wants to play a game where the rules are not efficiently safeguarded and misconduct is not prevented/punished (and let's leave it politely and respectfully at that). Everything is kept strictly and completely in the dark, posts promptly removed, so we have nothing but your word on it Perpete. However since every now and then stuff emerges and since nobody in the English community will doubt what Moomins wrote (also because part of it are very well known facts to many) I'm telling you the secrecy and the fact we never know if and how the cheaters we report are dealt with, cast some serious doubts on the fairness of it all.

I understand the reason why discussions of this are not allowed. However, I don't know where else I could say this. I've spoken to both the English managers involved in this fairly often. Both as NT manager, and from sharing a league with both of them, at different times. I've spoken to both of them in chat and by mail. I'd be very surprised if it was one person with two different accounts because their syntax, their use of English, is different.

I'd urge Astra, if he sees this to appeal, as that's the only way. If he then chose to quit anyway, that would be totally understandable.

I'd also urge the powers that be to look again at this whole thing, and find out why they were banned, and if it was a mistake, to rectify it.

The fact this debate has been allowed to go this far without deletion shows that even the GMs suspect a mistake may have been made.
