I hear what you are saying about having to scroll back through to find posts. I agree, it's a pain.
I'm wondering if in future seasons it might be helpful to just have those posts for teams scores as the only posts in the Scores threads and all other chat in the other thread?
It might be an idea worth exploring, with some possible positive outcomes. (Having said that, all official HGL information needs to be in the beginning of Threads, and I think on the first page of both Threads).
Just as with everything, it doesn't come without downsides. If that would've happened organically (that all conversation takes place there), it would've happened already this season. Therefore the question is, will managers comply with that if I request it, and/or will it cause the lessening of conversation on HGL Threads? I mean the amount of messages has been decent, but just as I made a comparison post earlier about the amounts of messages sent to Official HGL (main) thread, if we take away my and MrJ's posts, we're taking away like 70-ish percent (if my memory serves me) of all posts. And as keeping threads alive is an important goal, if managers don't take this suggested restriction the right way, it can make Official Threads even more silent in case of some managers.
Also, it's worth noting, that as official HGL posts (that are now on first pages of both official HGL Threads) must remain within a very easy reach (on a first page of both Official Threads), then managers own box score posts wouldn't be located on first page of Scores Thread anyway. So actually the amount of clicks to reach one's own box score post remains the same in both options:
Now you need to go to either 4th post of Scores Thread
(326590.4) or 3rd post of main Thread to reach post where there is link to your box score post page, so 1 click.
After the change you would have to click "next page" link once or twice on Scores Thread to reach your season box score post, so it's actually same or bigger amount of clicks to reach that post.
What we could do though, is that after I have established all necessary official HGL posts to Scores Thread (about 10-11 I suppose), then after that people would start immediately establish their own season box scores posts so that they would be available on pages 2-3 on Scores Thread, which is still easy to find without any links.
It would make it easier to locate each team's post for everyone because that would automatically group them. The easier it is for people to navigate the more likely they are to comply, I reckon.
Of course there's logic in it that the easier it is the more likely people will follow procedures. (However, I also need to remind, that it's already easy to find your season box score post currently, so as now all must already know the position of links, it doesn't go as an excuse to not do it).
But having to do everything through forums is never going to be as straightforward than if we'd for instance have a separate website for HGL, with easily editable page structures, layouts and lengths etc., so we're going to have to live with certain amount of inconvenience when we use BBMail (which reminds me more of 90´s than 2025) and forums with silly and inconvenient restrictions.
And like mentioned, official HGL information must not be buried at the lower parts of the tree, but must be available on the beginning of the tree (and if I would position all to main thread, only official posts would take first 2+ pages, which is not ideal for sure).
By automatically grouping them do you mean that they would be followed by one another, like practically was the case on Season 1? (Or that only those would reside on Scores Thread?) On Season 1 though, those posts weren't on pages 2-4 on Scores Thread (but starting from page 4 instead).
