However, that's not all. Now that we have temporarily lost our season schedule maker from our league (yes, I'm looking at you), I'm bit unsure how we'll handle that issue. May I ask if you might consider auto-creating that schedule for Season 2 when participating teams are "locked in"/decided, or do you think it would be too much work for you for something that doesn't gain you "anything" (as you're not participating next season)?

I'm more than happy to do the schedule for you in the same way I did this season'. I will still be active in the forums.
When you have locked in the teams you want for HGL Season 2, I'm happy to create the schedule.

Like I said, they are still mostly accurate. Accurate enough that I can use them as a guide to map out each of my players' training.

Once I have decided on my season's training plans, I create an excel spreadsheet inputting all the coefficients as listed above. I take into account other variables (Coach level etc) and map out what each player's TSP will likely look like. I then use BuzzerManager and input their predicted TSP to gauge their possible salaries.

More importantly, particularly this season as I get back into training again, I'm keen to see how the predictions compare to the actual results. Then, if I notice any significant deviations, I will make a note of them for future training plans.

Interesting read and actually a good suggestion to follow, I'd think. I'd be interested in hearing what kind of deviations you'll find, if you want to share them.

I have found these previously linked tables long time ago, and of course answers are there in the forums somewhere. But as these are not 100% clear to me, may I ask if someone reading this could clarify my questions.

Let's take passing training in first, and in rebounding training in second question as an example.

1. Was it so that if I train PG, I will get total training effect of 0,92, and if PG and SG then will get total training effect of 2 times 0,69=1,38 (so both C and PF receive +0,69)?

2. How are these assumed training pop-ups calculated?

In which order one should do the calculation (that lessens the effect of training from full training)?

Are all calculations made from the "maximum training" and then singularly reduced from the maximum training (for example, separately calculating effects of age, trainer skill etc.), or are they calculated from already reduced training efficiency like in my example below (and if so, in which order)?

As an example, let´s assume following:
- C/PF rebounding training, if my understanding is correct it gives both players +0,5 pops/week at maximum level
- player height 190cm (RB training efficiency at 0,90 with that height)
- coach level 4 (affecting training: at 0,97)
- player age 21 (affect on training: at 0,78 or 78% of max. efficiency)
So, should I calculate it like this:
assumed training effect (+0,50RB/week) times 0,90 (height effect)=0,45
times 0,97 (coach skill effect)=0,4365
times 0,78 (age effect)=0,340 RB pops/week, would this be the correct interpretation or not?

I know this might be one of those "beginner questions", but as a non-supporter I sometimes find going through hundreds (or actually thousands) forum posts without search functionality a dreadful process, so sometimes it's just preferable for me to ask...

Thanks, it's good to get this verified by you, as for me you're one of those BB sources that I have come to trust. Not just because of your experience, but you also follow numerous discussions on different threads, including the ones concerning training, and are likely more knowledgeable than me when it comes to training in BB.

Thank you MrJ, that's very much appreciated! :)

And even though it's more than obvious, I wish your presence on Official HGL Threads wouldn't diminish due to not participating on future seasons. I mean you're likely not as invested of course when you're not participating, but you're just as welcome to discuss on the Thread(s) nevertheless.
And I forgot to mention earlier in my HGL Thread activity/posts calculation, that out of those 104 posts of mine (that I mentioned before) on the Official HGL Thread quite many have been direct or indirect responses to your posts, so you have a big effect on forum activity (also on my part, as there's always some limit on how much one has energy/inspiration to write/produce content if there are no responses).

Nice. It is hard to see my team's name at the bottom end of almost every stat. However, as I keep repeating to myself (like a mantra), one day I will field a team in the HGL that will be a force to reckon with.

One day...

...I will exact revenge for every one of those Season 1 defeats!!! {JOKING}

I jest. I am not a vengeful person. However, I will still take great joy in the challenge of balancing out those losses!

One day...

Yes, in 2-5 seasons your team will not look the same anymore. And as team composition of the league changes, and other teams player skills change in 2-5 seasons, your team's HGL future season stats won't be comparable in that sense 1 to 1.
But it's still going to be interesting to see how you've climbed on some stats/success when you again join HGL.

[...} However, I will still take great joy in the challenge of balancing out those losses! (j)

That's the proper spirit (which already earned you a great fighting spirit prize in the beginning of the season), while at the same time it unfortunately didn't keep you excited enough to keep on continuing for Season 2 of HGL. But it's still a good example of it, that you can get something out of a match/season, even if you wouldn't win tons of games.
Being HG is for most a long project, and that's usually the phase that requires the most patience...

To be fair, if I hadn't been a part of the creation of the HGL with you and others, my team's entry (with $55k salaries) couldn't have been justified. I am sure that every team that has faced me in the HGL thus far this season has done so with out any real thought to game tactics...because my team is essentially a bot-like team. So, my participation in Season 2 is a positive for the HGL I believe. It will allow for a stronger field.

However, as I said, I will be back...and stronger than ever.
