BuzzerbeaterBuzzerbeater is a free [[online basketball manager]] game made by [[Mark Daniels]] and Charles Steinhardt<ref> of [[Digital Field Theory]], LLC. It started on April 15th 2007 and is currently in its 17th season. The game comprises 98 national championships, translated into 40 languages and over 54,500 managers and teams around the world. By paying a temporary quota, the user can become a "supporter", although there is no advantage for the game compared to other players.

Buzzerbeater was released to the public on April 15th 2007 and has grown a lot from when it started. Seasons 1-3's game engine was not even near the quality of the current one, plus lots of other features have been added since then to make the game a more exciting and fun experience for their managers.
Seasonal FormatA buzzerbeater season lasts 14 weeks, which consists of 11 weeks of regular season games, and 3 weeks for play-offs/offseason.<ref> During the season a cup, B3 competition, league, National Team competition and U21 National Team competition will take place.

National Team Torunaments National Teams and U21 National Teams compete in competitions alternating between a Consolation Tournament and Continental Championship Tournament. Managers of these teams are elected every second year so they get to manage through the two different competitions.
