i think a wikipedia article would be wonderful -- i hope someone else does all the work.

seriously, we should consider what, precisely, someone who is not involved in BuzzerBeater would be interested in if they were to reference the article. i'm not sure they would be as fascinated as we participants are by a history of the results -- champions, records, what have you.

for myself, i find the mathematical / statistical structure of the game to be of primary interest. i am fascinated by the creation of a "reality", with randomness included, that is completely the result of math. unlike many who participate in this game, my knowledge of statistics, programming, and who knows what else (linear algebra? are algorithms a form of calculus?), i don't nothing 'bout no mathematics. but i find this exercise in modeling the basketball universe to be absolutely fascinating -- and it helps me to understand other models (say, for predicting the weather, the economy, or estimating the amount of oil that may exist below the seas above the arctic circle). i would suggest that at least some of the Wiki article deal with this aspect of the BB -- i think at least part of the audience would be interested in this.

I like it but I don't like putting loser as that technically means the team that came last, so maybe Runners-Up instead.

Buzzerbeater is a free [[online basketball manager]] game made by [[Mark Daniels]] and Charles Steinhardt<ref> of [[Digital Field Theory]], LLC. It started on April 15th 2007 and is currently in its 17th season. The game comprises 98 national championships, translated into 40 languages ​​and over 54,500 managers and teams around the world. By paying a temporary quota, the user can become a "supporter", although there is no advantage for the game compared to other players.

Buzzerbeater was released to the public on April 15th 2007 and has grown a lot from when it started. Seasons 1-3's game engine was not even near the quality of the current one, plus lots of other features have been added since then to make the game a more exciting and fun experience for their managers.

Seasonal Format

A buzzerbeater season lasts 14 weeks, which consists of 11 weeks of regular season games, and 3 weeks for play-offs/offseason.<ref> During the season a cup, B3 competition, league, National Team competition and U21 National Team competition will take place.

The Buzzer Beaters Best tournament, or B3 for short is Buzzerbeater's most competitive and hardest competition that features some of the most experienced teams. To qualify for a B3 tournament you have to win your countries cup or top league.

National Team Torunaments
National Teams and U21 National Teams compete in competitions alternating between a Consolation Tournament and Continental Championship Tournament. Managers of these teams are elected every second year so they get to manage through the two different competitions.

My games are played at Saturday.

Either mine. We should specify the "timezone thing", and take as a reference a timezone (I think Boston time should be the best, that's the time BBs refer to usually).

Good idea, I've done stuff before and it seems you need at least 1 reference per section.

Anyone else got an idea???
