OK...Oishi has good JS and decent JR(over 7)....so think of it like this. You have two dice...one is a 20 sided dice and the other a 12 sided dice. You roll both dice...There is always going to be a chance that the 12 sided dice rolls a higer number than the 20 sided dice. Just like in the GE...those two 3's were just great shots that probably wouldn't have happened 8 out of 10 times, you just got the 2 hits...

I never thought it is simulating live. The question is whether its simulating a game, or just deciding who wins and creating a random script of how based on absolutely nothing real (in terms of matchups etc.).....

but I think ti does actually simulate from the start..now I am thinking somehow Oishi's JR has jumped up 10 points overnight or something.

You can think that. I'd bet you it doesn't tho'. Having had experience with a similar game as one of the mods (not involved in design/creation - but fully aware of how it was done), the way each game is created is probably far different from the way we view it. It'll be raw data first, and a script would probably create the game as we see it, post that. But the data needs to be generated first... in all probability.

What I am saying is~
Does it calculate each play by play, considering skills, matchups probabilities and all that...or does it just decide one outcome and makeup each plays.

I *think* your biggest mistake is assuming that the outcome cannot be decided first and not incorporate all match-ups. All of that is most-likely worked out in a millisecond. It's not like it's a huge amount of data, the script would factor in all things - match-ups/possibilities/tactics/HCA... and BAM! Produce the outcome, and how we got to that point. It would be happening so fast that it's almost irrelevant which comes first, and from our perspective: it is irrelevant.
It's just data. But I'd assume that it's far easier to start with a result, and work backwards from that point... factoring in all permutations and combinations.

In season 7 I asked this very question and the answer was that each possesion is calculated and it factors in everything for any given shot(stamina,JS,JR, the passing of the player who passes the ball) and comes up with the outcome. One GM said the closest thing to it was Dungeon And Dragons, or any dice rolling game, where as you can have a stronger opponent and still beat him by rolling the dice higher as in my 20 sided dice against a 12 sided dice example. It is just odds. For the game lastnight, you know that you ran LI, so any 3 ball you shoot isn't going to be your best shot, Mizik ran Patienct, so his guys were looking for the 3 ball. Take my game lastnight, I ran an 8,7,6 ODs at the PG,SG,and SF...even though Swoosh lit them up, he didn't shoot 100% from 3, because an 8 OD can stop a 16 JS 12 JR about 20% of the time.

I didn't say anything different. What I'm saying is that the simulation probably would take a split second for the script to run. In all likelihood, the program figures in all the permutations and combinations and comes up with somewhat random scenarios - factoring in the individual/team data... and creating the game we see. Which is just another program deciphering that data into the way we view it here.

Here is an even better example.....today's Dallas vs Portland(I know you were loving that finish)
Your boy Aldridge who hasn't hit a three all season and has only taken 9 total, drains a 3 with Marion(above average defender) in his face with 4 seconds left to tie the game and send it to OT. Now that was crazy..

Yeah, I hear ya but....even a 1JS has a chance to hit a 3 on a 20 OD, it might be only a 1 in 2000 chance, but it still is a chance right?
