I haven't been following forums lately, and don't have the energy to read through all of this, but something else has been bugging me.

Where exactly is the money going? There was plenty from Utopia, and community was hoping it would be invested into game development.

Since we know current active BBs are employees, and Mark owns the game, I'm starting to think Mark fills his pockets, while Marin,Patrick,Ryan do all the work. This would be really bad.

I apologize if it's against the rules to write about this kind of stuff, delete it if it is. But in that case, an ownership change would be the most important thing this game needs. Let the people who work get the rewards, and they will naturally try to improve their business.

I think what's important is that we look at the situation in context. BB has had a large drop in users, but from what I can tell, other manager games have experienced similar losses. One manager in this thread mentioned Charazay dropping from 22k users to 9k now. According to Hattrick's Wikipedia page, it currently has 300k users, down from a peak of 1 million.

When we talk about BB's user loss, we usually assume that it's due to problems with the game or with the way the business is run (ie advertising). However, maybe the biggest reason is that there simply isn't the same interest in the online manager game genre that there was a few years ago.

That's something I keep saying over and over again. HT has had their app for a year now and that was supposed to be the knight in shiny armor that came and set everything right.
Big surprise though, it didn't.

They've had an app previously too. I don't bother keeping up enough to know what the new version of the app did better than the old one, though.
