Yes, this is a good way. One thing that worries me is the new viewer is absolutely a copy, there is not creative working in it. And today is very diferent time than BB was born. First of all, you have to think in mobile and then in web.

Notification push is an important element in the suppossed app. Or should be.

Oter thing is calibrate the proyect magnitude. Perhaps it could be at first, only an support for the web. For example an app with only chats, viewer and notifications of sales, trainings, ...

divide and rule

Yo no pacto, nos vemos en las canchas.

I think BB Marin and others care about this game and try to improve it. Turning off the Flash Player was bad and they are trying to solve this problem.

We have to some patience and wait for the new match viewer. Everything will be fine once the match viewer is working properly. This game must continue. This game is the only basketball manager game. I think they know the value of this.

Of course, if we have to not watch the games for too long, this could be the end of the game. But I am optimistic and think the game will continue.

Maybe until then we can provide support by getting supporter or donation (I don't know if this will work or not)?

I think this the end of Buzzerbeater, only 316 players are online atm. I will play till the end. I hope one day they will create a new and better Buzzerbeater. If anyone knows some nice basketballmanagers game that are alike?

BB-Marin is here only for the money.

which money? how much money BB actually makes? i don't think it's much money.

let's say 10% of the users are supporters. that's roughly 1300 supporters. US$20/year each, that's around 26k/year. let's round it to 30k due to utopia second teams.

30k/year and what else? can't think of much more than that.

30k/year less expenses. this doesn't really seem much. at all. but maybe i'm wrong. maybe BB makes millions a year exploiting poor users around the globe. dunno.

but that would explain quite well the reason why there is no "BB-team". a "BB team" would require money to exist.

You need to invest in the idea if you want to gain more. 10% of 13.000 is 1.300, but 10% of 60.000 ( we had that number years ago) is 6.000.

10% was a random number, I guess the actual number is way lower.
by the way, in the golden era of buzzerbeater circa 2009-2010 there used to be more BBs around, which made sense since the site used to make more money.
to summarise, I'm not saying the decisions the BB developers made all those years were the most brilliant, there's a lot of criticising to be made, I just think that the idea of BB-Marin still being around just for the money is laughable.

I am giving a try to hardwood college basketball

Its game engine is similar to BB's. And it is in active development.

It has recruitment and experience instead of training or trading. Much more realistic.

But I don't know if the idea of "college basketball" will engage many European users.
