I've found that my players pop in GS pretty easily, however they usually end up with around 52-60 minutes. Perhaps it's something you should try accomplishing with your trainee. Then again I've had players only play 30 mins and pop in GS but they were already low from the TL so perhaps that factors in as well. There was a post on here about GS times and how it correlated, I'll see if I can find it when I get home.

Is there such a thing as a player who does not rise in game shape as easily or can't maintain it as well? I've been struggling to get one of my rookies to have above respectable game shape which is a huge deal for the U21 NT. The majority of all weeks he gets 48 minutes exactly. Is it just a simple fix as to try to get him 12 extra minutes in garbage time in order to pop his gameshape to strong, or is he just a player who is hard to keep his game shape up?

Yeah, have him play as a backup in one of your other games to get to that 60-72 minute range.

I think it's possible that you need more minutes to get a GS upgrade. As much as I noticed, when my players get exactly 48 min, they just keep their previous week gameshape.

But anyway, I always play my trainees full game + backup game. The backup game is usually at their best position, when I want them to actually contribute, instead of getting a 3.5 rating for 48min LOL
