Hi, I got a player that I would like to become a SF but his best position is PG. So I'm wondering if the best position really matters? Will he suffer some attribut loss if he's not playing at his "best position"?
The same question put in another way = If 2 players with the exact same attributes but one of the has the best position PG and the other SF, will the SF play better as SF than the PG as SF?

Two players with the same exact attributes would not have different "best positions." This is just a suggestion from the game engine on where it thinks the player would play best, but it is entirely up to you to decide how you want your player to play. So to answer your question, no, the player does not suffer any loss by playing any other position.
