Why won't they change this????

Apparently it's important that random HCA be the key driver in who wins the cup.

Isn't that the case in every round of the cup? Why should it matter now? We could of knocked each other out in the first four rounds.....

When you get to the last rounds there's a much small gap between the teams that home court becomes a pretty decisive advantage that is earned only by luck.

I guess the point is not all that supported as both road teams won this last round. But, as seasons go by and the competition at the top gets tighter that HCA becomes more and more decisive.

I know what you are saying, but your final match up could of happened in any other week of the tournament. Case in point, I am sure Wake was oh so pleased to see NTH on the road while you faced some lower ranked team 2 or 3 weeks ago yet if that was the final match, then it should be played fairly? That makes no sense.

On that basis alone, it's all random. Random opponent, random location. You might as well make the entire tournament on a neutral court or have one division host the entire event.

And that doesn't even include the obligatory "I am going to CT the bulls at home just because",the "Salsbury flame out prior to the round of 16", or the trash talked that comes with some Div III team who makes it deep in the tournament by saying I TIE''d my league so I could abuse some NBBA team.

The non league events are never and will never be played on even footing. it's a hole in the game that will never satisfy everyone.

II.1 proved that this season. Favorable draws, weak league all committed to the tournament. Just because the stakes are higher doesn't mean the randomness is any more significant

The semis is also where you get the enthusiasm boost without any penalty. There is no question all four of you guys PO Normal. You have every built in advantage .

I started that CT the bulls trend mind you. Id be down with it being nuetral court and arcade mode, no enthusiasm involved. That means no take it easy bonus for league play which can favor teams that have easy draws throughout and no crap team CT because they have nothing else to play for. It does make the season more interesting though just because you can see a lowly team sacrifice for an upset or two.

If its the bragging rights your concerned with, anyone who says they have a tougher league is just blowing smoke. I don't care what DII they are in there are strong and weak sides of the bracket in all of them as well as here. Id take my chances against any of the D2 top teams and Im a mediocre team in the NBBA, we play each other all the time, the worst of us still won our division 2 to be here. The proof is in the pudding with the finals being all NBBA and the Wahoos only beating the Bulls because of a misguided crunch time. The Quarterfinals are the tourney in a microcosm. NBBA is entirely on the road but won 3 of 4 with only one of the 3 close games being one that had the same effort being put out.

Nope, CTing the bulls was started much earlier, you was the first one that was really successful. Da bulls got CT'd at least 3 times this season and I would contend that happens at least that many in previous seasons. If I was in your position, I would of done the same as I told you when you CT'd him.

Salsbury hasn't been past the round of 16 very often, yet I think that is a pretty good team.

The magical Div III teams have came from Div II.1 this year.

I simply stated there are teams out there who just can't keep their mouth shut when they knock off a team. So like any dumb person they tell the world how they beat them. We also shouldn't be commenting that a semi or final should be on a level playing field when the games to get there are just as important.

I could've sworn that Chicago TIEd that quarterfinal game against a normal by the Wahoos.
