Do you have a problem with this kind of behaviour because in the end both this kind of team and the tanking team will eventually achieve success by virtue of having more money than their competition.
No I have a problem with managers hoarding money not because of "management skills", but because of gimmicks that only work in this game. Daytrading is more realistic than making huge amounts of extra profits from tanking.

If you can avoid relegation or win some games with a payroll far below the salary floor clearly you shouldn't be taxed. Tanking teams are those who usually only win against bots or other tanking teams. If a manager is below the salary floor in D1 there is a very high likelihood that that manager is effectively tanking and will only be able to compete against other tanking teams

But where is the problem here? Punishment happens due to the floor anyways - if one does not want to play... We talk about one to two teams per league here...

No problem, they should be able to tank if they want to. All we are saying is that you shouldn't be "rewarded" for it with $3-$4 million every time they do it...

Well, the narrative is, that you lose more money than you make, because of negative effects in the following season(s). As I am not to keen on doing the math and collecting data, I won't find out, but maybe someone else will do the research.

Tanking teams always make the most money even with a 0-22 record, because revenues from gate receipts won't go below a certain level. I thought this was a well established fact. You've also seen people here above saying they accumulated well in excess of $10 millions in just a few seasons.

Interesting idea here.... If you lose x many games in a row by a points and more than b PD against you. You automatically relegate to an avilable spot in the league below you. Period.

Then of course, you have to do something in the reverse for people to automatically promote provided there is a spot available due to someone relegating automatically from tanking

Well as long as there are no numbers crunched, I won't take anything for a fact.

The only guy who said he was above $20 million has like $23 million surplus from daytrading and the other rich teams I know have won multiple titles or have been contenders in uber weak DIV I.

I have no inside knowledge, but I promise you, that there will be no tax for teams with ~10 million in savings. 10 mil is like nothing these days....

Which is why we're advocating action on tanking rather than bank accounts...

Tanking is long-term process when manager intentionally plays at lower level than his bank account says he should.
I am ok with tax over specific number fex 3 top players (now about 15-20M).
But i really think FAN SURVEY should be redesigned. I d redesign fan survey value of "last season result" which could determined on comparing money ranking (last season money accumulated by team) vs cup and league ranking based on teams results. And d switch impact of "last game result" with "last season". Both could affect tanking.
