Formula for Potential Caps
To calculate whether a player has reached his potential cap, calculate the maximum of his five positional 'Potential Scores', where each positional score is defined by the sum of multiplying the player's skill with the weights given below. Since these weight coefficients are different from the salary formula (that determines the position displayed on the player page), it can happen that a player's maximum Potential Score is from a neighbouring position role, for example a C is sometimes capped by the potential-formula for PFs.
PU(X)=max(PU_PG(X),PU_SG(X),PU_SF(X),PU_PF(X),PU_C(X))
For example, PU_PG(X) would be 0.18*JS(X)+0.26*JR(X)+...+0.03*SB(X)

Potential has sublevels. For each level of potential, the Cap is a Potential Score-value in the range as stated below. You do not know beforehand where in the range your player will cap, that is a question of luck. Sublevels of skills influence the calculation as well. For example, if your player has potential 7 perennial allstar, he will reach his cap when he reaches a Potential Score somewhere between 22 and 24. From that moment on, his training will be 3 times slower than before (this is an estimate). The transition is gradual, the training will become progressively slower as the player gets very close to his cap and crosses the threshold - it is not understood yet how this slowdown progresses exactly.
Based on anecdotal evidence it is believed that potential 0 announcer is just the minimum sublevel of bench-warmer, and that potential 11 all-time great is the maximum sublevel of hall of famer. Even at the highest levels of potential, there are a few players in the game that have clearly reached their Cap.
Caps:
0 announcer: 10
1 bench-warmer: 10 - 12
2 role player: 12 - 14
3 6th man: 14 - 16
4 starter: 16 - 18
5 star: 18 - 20
6 allstar: 20 - 22
7 perennial allstar: 22 - 24
8 superstar: 24 - 26
9 MVP: 26 - 28
10 hall of famer: 28 - 30
11 all-time great: 30
Mislim da ovu formulu koristi i buzzer manager (sajt koji sam postavio u proslom postu), ali je bolje peske racunati i znati sta koliko zauzima, pa na osnovu toga odlucivati. Ako treba nesto prevoditi slobodno recite, nije problem.
