Your glass seems always to be half empty.

Even if the standing room idea appeared suddenly, it was announced in the news and it should be treated by you as a game feature, which wouldn't even count as a pleasant surprise.

Tactics: even there are possible lucky situations.
Let's say you carefully scouted the opponent, he always plays 3-2 zone. You anticipate, but he plays a totally different strategy instead this game. He gets better ratings but you still win with a close game. Luck?

Cheer up, you can even make the game more fun by yourself, by playing more risky tactics, train different ways etc...

Climbing the BB-mountain. Destination: the top.

what about selling a player at a higher price than his market value...

... no, wait. Cause you probably expect a newbie to buy him at 3 times his value and when you sell him at only two times as much it is a disappointment.

I can't win with you, I give up :)

"Something obvious is necessarily true;"

Ask Aristotle or Ptolemy about this. They "knew" the sun revolved around the earth because they saw it happen every day. It was obvious. Now, are you going to argue that you are a smarter or wiser man than Aristotle and say it isn't obvious that the sun revolves around the earth?

Copernicus decided that even though it was obvious it wasn't true.

well, I am not going to try to pull you back in again this time.

At least you have given it some more time now, and if you still don't enjoy this game any better in the meantime it might indeed be best to spend your time on other, more enjoyable games you like.

Thanks for giving it a shot, and enjoy!

They are not your friends; they dispise you. I am the only one you can count on. Trust me.

Maybe this is an example of what you are looking for: (5984724).

Playing with 5 players and one getting injured soon.
They chose an lucky fan and it resulted the third best scored of the match (second best of his team)!

Another example is the draft. If you are lucky, you can get a really good player even if you did not spend anything on it.

Anyway, in my opinion, BB is mostly a strategy game, and having "good luck" will always be a result of not controlling all the parameters of the game (so you will feel that you were lucky). Any other solution will make me feel I´m playing Monopoly and landing on a Chance or Community Chest.

Well, after looking that PO game, I see that you were destroyed by your own player, who you bought from me, Srđan Pecelj... He had a 1-13 FGs :)

It is always nice to see your ex-players doing fine in another club :)

Since it wouldn't always happen, and there would be no way to plan for it, it would indeed be a pleasant surprise.

Well the BBs would tax away that benefit, would they not? Or haven't you been reading the rules?

No, I merely stand on the shoulders of the great men who came after Aristotle. I'll let you google the source of that idea.

No need to google, Isaac.

But the point is that not everything obvious is necessarily true.
