So the defending champion is no more...he lost despite his opponent making, IMO, a mistake by not setting proper lineup for scrimmage (62097788), as almost all his starting lineup had 80+ minutes. So when his players will have ideal minutes, can he stand up to VS?

The king is dead, long live the king.

The field seems to be so strong this season though that I wouldn't be surprised if the scots (or maybe even VS) were to be eliminated before the final. It's going to be a terrific competition.

I can't see who can beat VS. Not only his starting five is formidable, but his bench is also almost as good, which is mind blowing. VS and scots seem like best teams so far.

There's something different about those teams, a certain something that makes their team so much better then everyone else. It's not the number of players, height of the rim or their stadiums altitude. For some reason they're just much stronger then the rest of the field. What could it be...hmmm

I was definitely wrong about the Dionysus-Gaid match. The mid game injury hurt Dion but he had superior gameshape and still lost. I think Gaid's players are far more well-rounded than I initially gave credit.

Add Anaheim Electronics to the list of Gaid and VS as threats. Monster ratings today and, unsurprisingly, a 1.5m+ payroll.

I disagree. I think today primary skills trumped secondaries. Dionysus has guards with IS 14 and 15, while Gaid's guards didn't spend one training at C position. Dionysus lack of inside defense and offensive flow might hurt him too. Also blank lineup can hurt you sometimes, as your coach cares about offense only. I watched the game and some easy buckets by Gaid were made from SF position when Gazdaq was occupying it. And we all know Gazdaq can't defend the SF position.
