I absolutely agree. I am convinced it's always the best solution to pick the best player available.
Drafting an A+ player and then not training him would be a tremendously bad idea.

top 10 players on the board, 8 centers and 2 point guards. does bb really need that many high picked centers?

In my case it seems to be a trend...
Out of 48 players, I scouted 27 at least once, 11 of which are 5-star guys, plus a 4-star guy with 5-star potential.

How active is your league? I made some stats from my league last draft and it showed that almost everyone got their first pick in the first round. Worst case scenario was only getting our second pick, and I actually think that only happened to two teams.

It's a good league, with good managers and good competition. Out of 16 teams, three are going bot very soon and one other looks abandoned. The other 12 are all attentive.

Last season, I got my 2nd and 3rd choices with the 15th pick. I'm not worried too much with regard to what I get. With the guaranteed 5* player in round 1, I've got a good chance at getting a talented 4* in round 2, and there are some nice guard prospects in the mix.

What you're saying doesn't make sense to me!?
1 : Always draft best player available(no matter at what position).
2 : Drafting an A+ player and not training would be a bad idea.

Doesn't (2) mean that it's better to draft a B+ and train him, than drafting an A+and not train him?
Or does your training depend on your draft?

Power Forwards in the draft?

Are there anyone that has a Power Forward on the list. I have none of 29.
My father has none of 27.
That is a very low % PF.

That was my first thought too, but then of course the scout might have thought that he was 4* or 5* before he had him playing a training session, and after this training session the star rating has been updated. This would suggest that the star ratings alone are very unreliable.

However, I do not believe that this is the case, but it is a possibility.

that sounds interesting. i mean, it makes sense, doesn't it. so, star ratings without second scouting, not so reliable. with second scouting, you get the 'exact' star rating with an additional trend given by the grade rating (+-). an interesting point of view.

i don't have any either in mine, though it doesn't really matter since people train PF more along the lines of centers. though it would be nice to start out with a nice jump shot.

No, it means that you pick the A+ player regardless, then if he is in a position that you train, you go ahead and train him..if he is not, you sell him and make alot of money.
(I should have added "or selling him" in the second sentence)

Purposely picking a worse player because of his position makes no sense at all.
