As far as GMs.... reduction in functions, role and number of people who run teams. There should be a paid position for a GM and/or moderator, perhaps multiple. basically a BB or BBs that do GM functions professional and who do not play the game. Guys who follow the rules to the key and make the same calls consistantly. You know well that without any cheating or such intended different GMs make different decisions given esentially the same situation. In the current model GMs are just volunteers so I can't blame them for having their own perspectives on things and not making 100% the same decisions. The solution, to me, is a professional who does not play the game along side us.

you are again soliciting to close down the game...
I'm not sure what your intentions are here, or if you actually realise what you are saying.
I can guarantee you 1 thing: hiring payed GMs that stand outside the game, and removing all other GMs from the game would be the first step to damnation.

They are not your friends; they dispise you. I am the only one you can count on. Trust me.

sigh.

How can you compete on the same level as me knowing sooo much more about how everything works. YOu know things I am not suppose to know. How is taht fair? I don't know how much age affects training. I don't know how much trainer level affects training . I don't know if spending more to get at 18 or 19, or level 6 versus7...I don7t know. Sooo many things you know that I don't. How on earth is that fair?

are you even paying attention when you play the game?
I have no access to databases or fomulas or coding or anything, but I know what is happeneing to my team. If you pay attention, you can subtract a lot of info, and I don't have the feeling we need the EXACT details to make the right decisions.
I would even think it would be boring to start calculating with exact knowledge every time, so I'm actually glad I don't have it.

but claiming that regular users don't know anything, and BBs know all is a plain slap in the face of dedicated managers, who have a perfect understanding of the game.

They are not your friends; they dispise you. I am the only one you can count on. Trust me.

Yes, it is a matter of time and energy. I'm not saying you can't do it at the same level as a professional, I'm saying you wont. However good the volunteers are, give them 8 hours a day and some green backs....they'll be better.
LIke if 40hours a week is done by 40 GMs, then in 20 weeks they all have 20 hours of experience...and its like a guy still in his first week on teh job. If one dude does it, then in 20 weeks, he will have 800 hours of experience. Also, by about hour 100 he doesn't need procedures to make the same decisions (right or wrong) every time. Asking GMs (who have high turnover as well) to follow a procedure and be consistant is just unrealistic. Also I bet that if one guy was working the tickets etc. 40 hours a week, after a few weeks he would get really good, and really fast. He'd probably get more efficient.

even if they would have the money available to hire such a person, they woulnd't find one who can do that job.
it's impossible to work 40 hours like that, those who will try, will work at 2% of their capacity by the end of the week, or will make major mistakes.

How about a restaurant. The waiter doesn't make the food, but should he know what's in it? Should he know roughly how it is made? YES.

NO!
they should know how to serve the dishes and how to welcome the people, take orders, NOT what is in the dishes. If they know, fine, but it's not their job to know!

but if you persist, LA, can you please give me the translation of passing in all available BB-languages? what? no??? ah you will have to look it up you say... hm, aren't you a memeber of the La team? I suggest you take your job at heart and start learning all content of the LA part of the game, as I don't like waiting untill you have looked it up, I'm too demanding for that and expect all people to be perfect. So I'm not pleased with your service... goodbey!

to be honest, I'd be glad if you never set foot in my restaurant again, so I'm going to tell my waiters that even if they know what is in the soup, they answer they don't know.

one question that scares me

only one :-)

hehe that thread and the wishi washi answer attempts by the two BB dudes are funny as hell..

..seriously, i dont wanna blame or judge the BBs or the developers..im fine with that hobby game and i didnt have mucho hope that some day that game growin to something big

..but i have a small small advice for that two BB dudes from a professional marketing/ brand management view ( its only one small piece than we all know "buzzerbeater will never sleep" --> only the developers sleepin since day 1 :-))..u can play that game like all the other common user, showin u like ur brand and open doors for simply user contact, but never never never in the world playin division 1/ BBB/ NT or something..its not about ur knowledge of the game its all about sellin ur BRAND BUZZERBEATER!!
its not smart to "blame" ur costumers!!!

only 3 small Cent

kind regards

Will

I agree with you and your ideas, but please don't make silly statements.

Customer: "Excuse me, I read pasta with X... how does it taste?"
Waiter: "I don't know"
C: "Ok, and what is carne alla pizzaiola?"
Waiter: "I don't know"
C: "Ok moving on... daily soup made by the chef... what's in it?"
Waiter: "I don't know... please stop asking just order"
C: "Seriously do you even work here?"

In Italy no waiter would answer like this, if in Belgium they do... gosh, I'm very very sorry.

So who exactly knows the GE inside out at the moment? BB-Forrest (seldom reachable by phone)?, BB-Charles?, I doubt it's BB-Mark, or is it?
As a business owner I agree that it's not "the best" option to admit, that some unfair advantages exist between a few BB's and all other users. But claiming that no BB currently has any idea how the GE actually works, is even a bigger problem. That would be admitting, that game creators have absolutely no idea what is going on.
So how is it? Noone knows anything or does someone actually have a clue? Obviously saying BB-Anthony knew everything, but is gone now would be the wrong way to handle this;)
