Wow, what a terrible case of reasoning not to mention the last bit of info is just completely inaccurate, it's the exact opposite.

And yeah the Italians were number top 3 in the world for quite a bit so I'd say they did quite well.

Here they are in that time period winning Europe. Running, surprise! Run and Gun.

That's not a point guard.

Secondly of course RnG needs more PA then Motion.

Motion is a slow paced offense that doesn't rely heavily on the PG for offensive flow. Secondly, it IS an offense where driving is (mildly) important.

I'd say 50% PG 25% both SG & SF.
I don't run RnG too much as 3-2 zone seems to stop it fairly easy, but when I have played it & I haven't had issues, shots forced to other positions, it's the PG & SG that take most of the shoots, so maybe a SG at the point who can pass maybe worth a go?
Check out River Legends (78204). He plays RnG all the time & is about as good at it as anyone can be. Watch a couple of his games, wins & losses, to see what position does what when he's scoring & when he's struggling to score & this may give you an idea of what you need.
Hope this helps.

Right is not a popularity contest!

Yes.

It's more obvious though when you take each to the extreme.

Passing is useful for all offenses, period.

The only real difference is in say an LI offense I may have 14 passing and 16 handling while RnG I'd prefer 16 passing and 14 handling.

In EITHER case, the 16 pass 14 handle PG is BETTER, but the 14, 16 PG is less expensive obviously.

River Legends is probably the best I've seen at RnG so far. Main reason is because they have the PG to run it to perfection. No real coincidence that their PG is leading the league in assists. The only weakness I see is that while his SG is pretty unstoppable and a strong force, he doesn't pass well. I think he'd be even BETTER if he had a SG that could pass well.

You can tell by his salary that is PG is jacked up on range....which coincidentally is one my major criticisms of the game is how absurdly expensive jump range is. It's the main reason most guys don't train it and the main reason why Run and Gun is so misunderstood.

I'm fairly sure Jump Range is the single most expensive stat in the game.

Rebounding?

The reason R & G point guards have high assists is because it's fast paced. Higher scores, more buckets, more assists. End of story.

i wonder how u weight the skills. in my opinion for r&g passing is not that important compared to motion. same with range. of course its important, but less than for motion. key skills in r&g for me are js, handling (+driving)

Put on PG a JS15, JR15, HA14, DR14 and PA 3 and he will score a lot
Maybe he will score but You will lose match ;-)
And goal isn't to score in way You want, goal is to win match ;-)

Well, if my reasoning is so terrible, prove me wrong instead of just asserting the opposite. I stick to my opinion that in RnG, you need Driving for all positions to be successful, and passing only on your PG. Conversely, with Princeton or Patient, you need good passing at all positions, but only two or three good Drivers - those being the players you want to take the shots.

Rebounding isn't too bad,

but on SG's range increases salary by like 20k a pop once you start getting over sensational.

Not all R and G pgs have high assists, that's faulty logic. They need high passing. If they have strong passing they still aren't going to get many assists, and the team won't do as well.
