The schedule is not totally random. Each team has 3 home and 4 away games in the first conference third of the season (or vice versa) and the opposite in the last third. Each team have 4 road and 4 home interconference games. The schedule of the last third is the same as the first third, but with home/road inverted.
If your first game is at home, you will play on the road in the ASG week (which has only 1 league game and potentially 2 cup games). I believe you can't have more than 2 consecutive games both on the road or at home, at least I have never seen a team with 3.
Each teams has 3 TV games, one in each third of the season. There is one TV game for the whole league each week. This are randomly selected but they are pretty heavily constrained as no team can play a TV game twice in the same third of the season.
